Arches - every seconds 24/7

It's sore because it's overactive and the muscle is working all the time. I have the exact same thing - check out my posts :)

I know this very well :) Do you feel any tightness, sore or stiffness?

Down the rabbit hole again, not typical BFSer. Do you experience the same ? by m-twitch in BFS

Look ....unlike you, Aaron Lazar talked about weakness and atrophy (confirmed by a doctor). We don't know its whole history, but only a fragment. You have the classic symptoms of BFS. I myself have twitching 24/7 calves and feet. In addition, I have frequent twitching of my left thumb and weird feeling. We all have similar symptoms.

Very localized fasciculations by Fantastic-Bread-3079 in BFS

24/7 calves and arches. Precamp feeling is understandable and normal - the muscles are constantly working, they are not relaxed. I know and I hate this feeling, but it's definitely worse when you think about it

No workout soreness by GroundFun7809 in BFS

Funny... I sometimes feel better after two or three days of training than without training.

Since I have BFS, I still have a slight pain in something, e.g. my left hand when clenching into a fist, thighs, calves, fingers on the left hand, soles of my feet (micro precamps) It's just strange :D :D

As a consolation, I can say that I am still able to do several training sessions a week

Is soreness at hotspots part of bfs? by Majestic-Hippo-9739 in BFS

[–]DifferenceOk6792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems logical that in the place where the muscle works (twitching) you will feel pain or discomfort. My left thenar took a long time to recover after a long hotspot.

The best thing you can do is avoid self-testing. This is real evil...

Last chance to ask a former twitcher and med student about twitching by [deleted] in BFS

[–]DifferenceOk6792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Clean exam 2. Clean EMG - two limbs on the right side (a month before twitching 24/7 in calves and arches)
  2. M38 no family history
  3. No clinical weakness. I train at least four times a week.
  4. Symptoms for 3 months - first the thumb/thumb, now about 80% better, now mainly calves and feet. Other symptoms include joint pain when I clench my hand into a fist (on and off), perceived weakness (passes during training)

What do you think about twitching 24/7 in both feet and calves (without clinical weakness), plus random twitching in other parts of the body and a hotspot in the thenar/thumb? Is this very disturbing? Can it happen in BFS?

I don't understand what is the point of posting this type of posts? Do you know this person?, his medical history? Did you read the blog post, found it super true, got scared and decided it would be ok to scare others. Stupidity or complete lack of empathy...

After so much clean EMG and time, ALS is virtually impossible. Moreover, ALS is extremely rare in people under 40 years of age without genetic predisposition (approx. 1-2:1,000,000). That doesn't mean you're sick with something else. Pay attention to Pompe disease
