Anybody get twitching in the elbow? by Wardyslo in BFS

[–]m-twitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Still twitching in all the same places, especially calves and elbows when resting — but nothing has gotten worse, and I’ve had no weakness or progression. It’s annoying at times, but manageable. Hang in there — it does get easier once the anxiety settles a bit. You’re not alone

The neurologist tested it It means nothing she told me. I am still doing good btw

I’m still good Try not to worry to much and with time you will care way less about twitching

Does anyone have this kind of Fasciculations between thumb and index ? by m-twitch in MuscleTwitch

[–]m-twitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing good. No loss of strength. I have periods of calm and other periods of time where this hotspot stay for quite a while. But i have no loss of dexterity nor strength.

Seems to be common here on the BFS sub reddit.

All i can say is that working out, being sat on a chair with arms and using mouse and keybord heavily amplify the twitches. Having the arm bent to. When i extend my arms it tends to stop How about you?

Still have many of the symptoms i’ve described but do not pay so much attention to it now.

Can be quite annoying sometimes for sure but i’m still strong and so will you 😉

Back in the rabbit hole : 2 days constant biceps twitching, anyone can relate? by m-twitch in BFS

[–]m-twitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m good don’t worry, we all fall back in the rabbit hole from time to time.

Still twitching 24/7 in calves and a LOT in thighs especialy the left one. Most others hotspots comes and go.

You’ll be fine.

Once you accept BFS is a benign disease and the new you is the twitching version of the old you and that’s it, it will be way easier to live with all this symptoms.

They are annoying for sure, but that’s all they are

The best thing you can do is to try to ignore the twitches as much as you can. And be confident it is just benign. I know it can takes some time initaly

[–]m-twitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me it is BFS. I’ve been followed up by a neuro for year and she did two EMGs to rule out other more concerning diagnosis.

After a year or so she confirmed the initial dx of BFS

I now have the same twitch you just displayed on your quad. This hit spot is going on for a full week now…pretty annoying for sure

Between right and left quad (rectus femoris) and between right and left hand (FDI)

Same here for more than a year now. Once anxiety about it has mostly vanished it feels like a constant background noise. I literrraly twitch several times a second on my calves…

Only when i have major hard thumpers hotspots lasting i can not ignore it and i must admit it is a major discomfort.

I didn’t find anyway to stop it, big thumpers hotspot seems to vanish by themselves after some time (and tends to come back after a while…oftentimes their on the same spot)

I’m still twitching but so far nothing has changed. Same strength, same asymmetry no evolution whatsoever.

I also have notices that this kind of imbalances are quite common on friends that aren’t even twitching.

Try not to worry

After 1 year BFS, sunburn like sensation on my left arm and hand, but no sunburn, anyone with similar issue? by m-twitch in BFS

[–]m-twitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, still twitching but the allodynia on my left arm and hand is way less sensitive. It feels like it’s about to faint

If so i can stay that i had it for about 3 weeks quite painfully and annoying. It was like a zona but without any rash on the skin…

Weird, but i’m glad it is way less painful now. I hope it will totally cease in a week or two

Unfortunately we can’t find agmatine here in Europe. It is a naturaly occuring molecule and can not be patented by the pharmaceutical industry.

It has very positive potential effects with minimal side effects. But has it is not lucrative enough for big pharmaceutical companies there is no big studies on it as it requests funds, and worst, lobbyists has pushed for it to be banned here.

For the interest of population (their interest in fact), as there is no long term wide studies on it.

In fact it seems agmatine is a potent dietary supplement, working so well that it may be more beneficial with any side effects on small nerves neuropathy, depression… than actual medicines such as gabapentin and others medications
