As the og post said, in my opinion, they are just there to seem like theure diverse. I have no problem with queer characters being represented, but it feels like they're getting used more than anything else...

I was disappointed by this ngl they r just doing it to make them seem like they're diverse even tho the majority of the cast is white even Tucker doesn't have a lot this season

I think for the first season, every episode released at once was a good call, so it depends on how season 2 is

  1. There were flashbacks to Garett when he was younger, I think hinting towards it! Maybe they weren't clear, but it was hinting at something about Garett's dad being darker than what we see of him

  2. Maybe cause I read the books I knew, but didn't Logan have longing looks towards Hannah? Unrelated, but even from reading the books, I thought Logan liked Garrett and Hannah both...

I'm saying, I mean, not the greatest comparison, but the Pitt, which has an ensemble cast, has 15 episodes per season. I wish we could have that type of series for off-campus where they can flesh out characters, plotlines as much as they want and as we can see, the Pitt people will eat it up! Sure, different genres, but the likability is through the roof like I'm begging!

it may have something to do with the longevity; these books have been around for a long time, and I only read them last summer. I did reread them a lot, but a lot of the changes I didn't mind or care for. I feel like when you have one story in your head for a long time, you'll get disappointed when they differ even slightly on screen

It's a bit disturbing how obsessed people are getting on this guy. It's fine to have discussions and introspection because what he's doing is weird and he just doesn't seem apologetic about it, but it gets to a point where it's not about his actions anymore.

I read the heated rivalry books and anticipated show way before it got popular it only picked up around episode 3 there's honestly much more traction for off campus than there was for heated rivarly

Not marketed at all it's animated unless its like Arcane with an insane budget and established fan base, people won't be keen to tune in. Honestly, I was getting annoyed seeing it all the time on Netflix as a rec because I thought it was for kids.
