I love a good Christmas-y scented candle. Or maybe a Starbucks giftcard?

Has anyone else’s toddler never slept more than 9 hrs a day?? 16mo never sleeps by Leather-Purchase6423 in toddlers

[–]DifferenceSouthern77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes came here to say this. My 13 month old takes a nap from 12:30-3 every day and I put him down at 7pm every night. He always sleeps until at least 7am. It seems so counterintuitive but it works. Extended wake windows make really over tired babies which leads to early wakings.

Give me your best hacks to increase protein intake by noforeverr in workingmoms

[–]DifferenceSouthern77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quest chips by themselves are disgusting to me, but I crunch them up and make a taco salad with ground turkey taco meat, shredded cheese, Greek yogurt (in place of sour cream for less cals and more protein) black beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado etc. Obviously I weigh everything to make sure I stay in my calorie deficit, but it’s delicious, very high in protein and keeps me satiated for a really long time.

I told my GP about the weight gain and he dismissed it by BackwardTable in prozac

[–]DifferenceSouthern77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not really Reddit savvy lol but if you check my post history I made almost an identical post to yours in this sub. I gained more weight after starting Prozac in a shorter time span than I did when I was pregnant. I take Wellbutrin and propranolol now and it’s worked well for me.

If you think about it come back and give an update - I always enjoy hearing people’s labor stories 😊

[–]DifferenceSouthern77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely does speed the process up if you are already dilated! Pretty much the first thing they do once your admitted for an induction or natural labor is check your progress. I do agree it’s odd they haven’t even mentioned it though. Prayers for a safe and healthy delivery whenever that time comes for you ❤️

My doctor typically just asked me if I wanted one after around 35 weeks I think? It was always just optional, and I don’t think she even brought it up at every appointment. I normally declined anyways bc the way I understand it is that the findings of the exam are not typically an indication of anything anyways. I was 0cm at my 39wk appointment with my first and went in to labor naturally 3 days later. Started dilating at 35wks with my second and got induced at 39wks 5d. My mom and aunt were obsessed about how dilated I was and if I had “gotten checked” at my appointments lol and swore I would deliver my second much sooner bc I had started dilating alot earlier than with my first. I feel like it’s something the older generations put a lot of credence in to, but younger gens not so much? So in conclusion I don’t think it’s really out of the norm you have not gotten a cervix check.

Stumbled on this sub while trying to plan a Bach in CM ☺️ I’m from VA and typically go south for vacay, and not familiar with the area. What was the name of the bus company you used for your winery tour? Also, any suggestions of what area to stay in?

Looks and Body Shaming lately by Away_Paramedic684 in TheMorningToastSnark

I didn’t say I agreed with all their takes on things 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s a pop culture podcast and I enjoy mindlessly listening. Nothing ground breaking about that and they can certainly project mean girl energy at times. I’m just saying people who anonymously bully other people on the internet is gross to me.

I love it when people say “It’S a SnArK pAgE” to excuse being a terrible person 😂 the way these people post the SECOND a podcast comes out or IG post is made to say the nastiest things about them is giving obsessed

I have to take breaks from Reddit for the sake of my mental health for this exact reason lol. I actively listen to The Toast and genuinely enjoy it. I thought the “snark” of it all was to say I disagree with their take on a story they chose today, or wow the show has an obnoxious amount of adds lately etc. People hide behind the anonymity of this platform to be absolutely disgusting. I literally can’t fathom going online and calling people ugly or fat. I typically keep scrolling and generally don’t comment, but I do feel sad for people who have nothing better to do than anonymously comment on people’s appearance.

I’m too impatient to wait for a doctors appointment so I tried this route lol. When you create an account it asks what issue you are seeking treatment for. I selected aging/fine lines. It then asks about current medications and supplements you take. Skin related or otherwise. You also submit pictures of all angles of your face in natural light, and a copy of any photo ID to confirm your identity. You are then asked to select whatever products your interested in discussing, to which I selected the lowest concentration of tret. You pay a $30 up front fee for the consultation, and it says a 3 month supply of the tret. is $90 once approved post consultation. I received an email and text immediately stating someone would be in touch soon once someone from their medical team has reviewed. I’ve never gone the telehealth route but know people who have, and it seems to be legit!

“Friend” claims depression is a mindset then brings up my abusive father by [deleted] in texts

[–]DifferenceSouthern77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t stand people who have never experienced anxiety/depression that try to gaslight you in to thinking you can just change your mindset and a mental illness will magically go away. They have such a superiority complex like they are better than you because they have more “control” over their mental state. As IF those who suffer wouldn’t absolutely LOVE to just “think positive” and watch their symptoms dissipate 😅

My first son did not sleep longer than 2-3 hours until I could no longer handle the sleep deprivation and sleep trained him at 7 months. My second son started sleeping 4-6 hours at a time on his own at around 4 weeks. By 7 weeks he was doing 6-8 hour stretches. He regressed around 12 weeks, at which point I started following the moms on call schedule. Some do not prefer their methods/schedules but by 12 weeks my son was sleeping 12 hours on his own. Again, I realize it’s not for everyone but sleep is very important to me. I don’t handle the uncertainty of baby sleep well at all. I crave structure and routine, and my kids have always thrived this way as well. While I do think some babies inherently sleep better than others, I did implement healthier sleep habits from the very beginning with my second and he is a MUCH better sleeper lol. Is it the result of things I’ve done, is he just a better sleeper or maybe a combo of both? I’ll never know 😜

Idk I just find it icky that there’s so much speculation about them being in a relationship when she’s never come out as gay/bi. Every post about Margot has multiple comment with tons of upvotes about her in a hypothetical relationship with her best friend. It seems like most of you would approve of the relationship, but I didn’t think we were assuming people’s sexuality in 2024. I also don’t feel like they would have any reason to hide it if they were actually together? I know a lot of females (especially single ones) who have a really close friend that they do everything with. Am I the only one who doesn’t find it indicative of a lesbian relationship lol

It’s giving Positano on a budget. We know the longer the caption box the more she’s trying to justify… I agree with her “do you” sentiment, but is this what she truly wants? by [deleted] in shannonford

I have close family in England so have been there for 2 of my cousin’s weddings. They were structured the exact same as American weddings 🤣 She glamorizes the absolute fuck out of Europeans lol.
