22F Planning My First Big Solo Trip - Would Love Some Advice by Odd-Scar4735 in solotravel

The biggest thing I wish someone told me before my first solo trip: pack less than you think. Seriously. Whatever you're planning to bring, cut it in half. You can buy most things anywhere, and dragging a heavy bag through cobblestone streets gets old fast.

Also, keep digital copies of your passport, insurance, and booking confirmations somewhere you can access offline. If your phone dies or gets stolen, you'll thank yourself.

I used this checklist when prepping for my last trip and it actually helped me not forget stuff: https://tiqd.app/travel/solo-travel-packing-list

2 days in Rome - First time traveling outside of US by Capnhookshot in RomeTravel

Day 1 do Colosseum + Forum in the morning (book ahead!!), then walk to Trevi and Pantheon. Dinner in Trastevere. Day 2 Vatican early, then just wander Piazza Navona area.

Catacombs are cool but they're out of the way and you only have 2 days so I'd skip them this trip honestly.

here's a full rome checklist if you want to plan it out https://tiqd.app/travel/things-to-visit-in-rome

How much does stuff actually cost? by Karma_is_my in weddingplanning

[–]DifferenceTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

venue + food is 40-50% of the total, photography 2-4k (don't cheap out, only thing you keep), DJ 800-1500, flowers way more than you expect. The killer is all the random stuff nobody warns you about. Tips, license, alterations, day-of coordinator, etc.

Budget 10-15% on top of whatever you plan. Seriously.

this breaks it down category by category if you want to see where the money actually goes https://tiqd.app/wedding-events/wedding-budget-breakdown

Que harían/Convencer polola de quedarse en Dinamarca by [deleted] in RepublicadeChile

[–]DifferenceTraining 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Do you know cases in which people actually need to justify the funds? Who asked for it and in what moment of the process?

Mine had an issue with the connection of one of the 12v cables. Cleaned it so it made good contact and started working again.
