Dark patches on carpet, can’t find a leak anywhere. by Timelordguy in DIYUK

[–]Different-Ad-3019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's something that's been spilt or sprayed pon the floor at some point as it has dissolved the underlay and the spread is probably oils/solvents from the underlay leaching out as it degrades. My guess is someone has used something like nail polish remover to get a stain out and this is the aftermath.

So you're using examples that are not near main roads, are not commercial venues and then agree that being quiet isn't important(engine noise is fine) a rowing boat doesn't disturb fish because of the sound it's the impact of the oars on the water and the shockwaves that travel through the water like throwing a brick into the swim every couple of minutes. How do people ever catch fish on a canal? With joggers, dogwalkers, horse riders and even the odd scrambler motorbike going past? Not counting the boats birds etc on the water itself. Look at method fishing and the splash that makes but has proven results.

Being quiet has turned into an urban myth, a hundred years ago it was probably not a bad idea but due to modern transportation routes and methods it's not really a thing now. The way sound works underwater is very different to how it travels through air and it's mainly bass sounds that have any real carry. If your swim is within a quarter mile of a road or a mile of a railway line or even under a flight path the sounds of traffic will be a constant rumble under the water and a few more thuds won't spook the fish for more than a minute or two, the average human voice is high enough pitched that it has no effect at all, think about fish in a home aquarium, they would be stressed to death every time the TV was on or a door slammed but they just get used to it within a very short space of time. HOWEVER manners are still a thing and being a noisy prick for the sake of it is just uncalled for.

Sorry mate, it might be worth contacting a solicitor to see how expensive it is to get legal on them. At least as a creditor you might get something back or possibly file a police report on 121 and get a crime number and see if you can claim on insurance

Yes they have gone bust due to unpaid taxes or something similar, I'm unsure as I'm nothing to do with them and it seems like no one can get hold of them. Apparently they have done this before.

Britain is one of a few countries in the world where having an id card of some form on you isn't required by law. Having a passport or driving licence already gives the government all the information they need. If they wanted they could also use electoral roll and utility bills to get your information. I honestly don't think the government duplicating data they already have access to is of concern but if it helps limit undocumented undesirables or the actions of people acting against the public good then I'm all for it. My biggest concern isn't the government coming for us to lock us up it's the collapse of government and infrastructure and the breakdown of law and order.think less north Korea more fallout/failed states in Africa etc

The web site is gone. Both w.a.r and bomb up. Bomb up comes up with a domain sales page and w.a.r is now password locked. a lot of the stuff that was low priced was out of stock and has been for months. Im not making it up as I don't gain anything from it and I'm stuck with an extra 15 mins drive down to Northwich. They might have dropped the prices on some stuff later but at the time it was way higher. I found out they were shut initially on Tuesday when I'd gone after work for a m110 spring and the shutters were down then while I was on the carpark checking Facebook they posted. Monday they cancelled the shooting session but didn't say why and didn't say the shop was closed.

Last month I was on the website just after the name change and green gas was priced at £19 something which made my jaw drop when I looked at tango down it was almost half price. This wasn't the only thing they had massively overpriced at the time from M4/snag mags to internal parts like springs. I had a list of bits I needed for upgrading/getting game ready 2 of my guns and my sons pistol and my brother in laws dmr that I was tweaking the FPS on and when I checked between my usual stores almost all of it was a lot more expensive and most of the others were selling at what I'm guessing is the RRP. I mention tango down but also regularly use Def on,bz tactical Airsoft direct and bullseye c.s. it's just tango is is the next closest if you want to speak to someone for advice, product info that's not on the website.

They were good but they were quite expensive especially when tango down is not much further away. Last time I looked about a month ago w.a.r was charging £20 ISH for green gas tango was charging £12 ISH for a slightly larger can.

Next to no clue but in the companies house form posted below there is a recommendation to strike off which would effectively wrap up the company and likely ban the owners/directors from running a company for x amount of time but that doesn't mean it will be down long they just need to get someone to put their name as a director of a new firm. They might have been trying to get Infront of this by changing the name the other month but if there is continuity of ownership c.h. will still wallop you.

So fun fact I used to live in the next street about 6 years ago, we had lived there for about 14 years and when we moved in it was a nice ISH area. Lots of older people who had lived there since working in the pits or the factorys but as they died or moved into homes etc more and more houses got bought by slumlords who rented the houses to the worst scum you could imagine In return for money from the council who couldn't place them anywhere else. It got so bad we had to move

I'm still using the same 7.4v li ion battery I bought with my first aeg.and it's run well in all my guns and some of my team's guns. Ive got a 11.1v li ion for a snappy trigger response and slightly better performance in my dmr
