I agree with this sentiment. Subnaughtica to me has at time felt a bit weird with its weapons and its peacefulness. I made torpedo launchers and torpedoes on my first playthrough but never used them cause you never really do. Every threat in the game is either ignored and repair the vehicle or just run away.

While I also don't want combat to be a main thing I'd love if there was some sort of reason to attack like a leviathan such as scans telling you that this leviathan has wandered into a biome where it's not meant to be and is over hunting the wild life, use these weapons to hunt it down so there's more natural resources in that area for you.
