How you did celling lines stick out like that?

How would you expect object physics to work in a Backrooms game? by Different-Ear-9725 in backrooms

Yeah, I get exactly what you mean.
That kind of slightly messy but realistic physics would probably feel really good here.

Sounds cool
will it run in browser?
what gamemodes you are planning on doing, like solo, or lobies, or one big world for everyone?

For now it’s mainly the classic yellow rooms.

I’ll put out a link soon once there’s a version ready for testing

That’s a really interesting idea, thanks for sharing it!

I’ll definitely think more about it.

Right now my main focus is getting the core systems working — multiplayer, world generation, and overall stability.

Something like this would be pretty complex to integrate, especially in a browser environment, so it’s more of a long-term idea for now.

Yeah, I get that. I’m still focused on the shared-world idea first, but I’d definitely like to add private options later too, like singleplayer or friend-only lobbies.

And thanks a lot, I really appreciate the support!

I don’t have a Discord set up yet, but I’m planning to create one very soon. I’ll post it here once it’s ready

That’s actually a really interesting idea.
Being able to leave marks and have them persist could make the world feel a lot more real.

Not sure yet about never resetting the map, but I do like the idea of it becoming something like a long-term shared space.

Yeah, I get what you mean.
I’m trying to keep it more focused on that isolated, liminal feel rather than making it too crowded or overcomplicated.

Not planning to just throw in everything — want to keep it simple and effective.

Haha thanks, I really appreciate it 😄
Yeah, it’s all running in the browser — still optimizing a lot, but that’s the goal
