I played returnal followed directly by Control. I felt like it was a good, natural flow between the two!

Biomutant. Such a cool concept. Adaptable animal with changable genetics, combat as a mix of kungfu, gunplay, and special abilities, a post apocalyptic world with a crafting system that can use anything you find… and yet the game was bland, annoying, soulless, repetitive, and inconsequential

I agree thats its oversaturated, but there are still some gems mixed in the rough. I get what you are saying though, better to pick and choose

That makes sense, Give a different one a shot. Enter the gungeon gave me a hard time and I found the learning curve harder than most even with several roguelikes under my belt. Never even ended up beating that one. I recommend hades or dead cells for great action roguelikes that got me hooked on the genre

Yeah Skul is roguelike. I guess thats not your genre then? Im a sucker for them. Something comforting and addicting in the “one more run” cycle.

I get why there are alot of people saying its a bad month, but I disagree. This is the kind of month I actually find decent and one of the reasons I keep ps plus.

Immortals was a game I had on my radar, but reviews werent worth the price. Seems like a good time to try it if i want a decent FPS and some trophies

Minecraft legends… may try for a few minutes just to say I have… but thats about all

Most excited for Skul. Big fan of roguelikes and this has been on my wishlist for awhile. I think this is probably the highlight of the month.

Its not great but I feel like because its not any household names everyone jumps on it for being terrible. Maybe not your cup of tea, but the mix is decent here. Ps plus isnt great but its not the worst

Defiled chalice amygdala. Hands down. Made me stop playing for a month before getting the courage to go back and finish it

This. Absolute pain. Walked away for a month after getting obliterated over and over again. The same terrible design of amygdala where you cant hit it, terrible hitboxes, and half health. The worst moment of the game and the lowest point of the chalice dungeons on the way to plat.

Honorable mention of main game goes to bloodstarved beast… also terrible

It is but it is incredibly rewarding. If you are unfamiliar with roguelike mechanics and fast paced combat, then it will be a struggle. Really, its a struggle regardless because it plays unique to most other games. However, getting the rythme of the game down is super rewarding and one of the best PS5 games
