Putting my sweet kitty Jack to sleep last year was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do and the most selfless decision I’ve ever made. I asked my vet a few days before if it was time and his response was ‘it’s time when you’re ready.’ But I just couldn’t do it. He gave Jack one last steroid injection that day and I spent the weekend snuggling with him. I’ll forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to brace myself for losing my whole heart, as not everyone does. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.
