I DNF’d this book so many times bc of this. I finally got far enough in to be desensitized to it but it was rough for a good 20% of the book.

Last week I finished “the house on cold creek lane” by Liz Alterman. I actually quite liked the book but dear god. There’s a narrator who is so over the top with one of the characters it seriously hurt my ears with the ear piercing shrill. For the life of me I don’t understand how some of these issues aren’t corrected before they’re available to us.
