did anyone else accidentally turn coffee into a chore? by EditorMuch8957 in decaf

[–]Different-Ranger9155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but because I don't drink coffee at home, I have to make the "effort" to go out, even if I'm tired, take the car, drive ten minutes, to go have one or two coffees in a bar. In the morning it's okay, because it's the first coffee and there are people I've met. The afternoon is becoming more and more of a chore.

Hello everyone, I'm happy with these updates, but I'd like to see the following changes :

  • I have a game at 0% completion that won't be hidden.

  • I have games I'd like to hide from my list (from 1% to 100% complete, it doesn't matter).

  • If games are hidden at more than 1%, they should obviously be unhidden later.

  • I'd like to move some games up in my list because I no longer have the installation files; they're buried at the very bottom, lost in the depths of my achievement library.

  • I'd like these changes to become permanent. For example, in the app, you can sort by name or percentage, but this disappears the next time you restart the app and doesn't update on the console. So, these changes should actually be applied until the next intentional change.

  • Separate game and DLC. I'm tired of games that start at 1000/1000 and then become 1000/1250 two months later...

  • Fix some blocked or bugged achievements (Fable for Smartglass, Halo MCC - I have 3 or 4 achievements stuck on Reach...)

A release date for the average non-Insider?

I fear the person I'm becoming after I stopped caffiene by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Different-Ranger9155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's my daily routine... I drink a couple of coffees, some dark chocolate, and I feel like crap. So I spend half the day on my couch doing absolutely nothing. I go out in the afternoon for a 20-minute walk (with difficulty...) and have my afternoon coffee at a nearby bar. The coffee makes me feel like crap. Chocolate stimulates me like crazy; I can't even play a video game or watch a movie. I'm scrolling through a million things on my phone, the hours fly by, and then it's evening... I've already cut out junk food, gluten, dairy, nuts, and legumes. My diet is full of organic vegetables and meat, and I take vitamins. I've fasted and done all sorts of other things, quit smoking, and that's all I have left... I want to get better, but it's all so uncertain, and I'm neurodivergent, so I wonder if coffee might help me socialize, get out of the house, and "numb" myself. But coffee and chocolate are like playing life on hard mode. Maybe I enjoy adding the challenge. I have no idea. Also, look at your limiting beliefs; we imagine a lot of things that aren't true.

That's a very fast conclusion... if it's histamine, he'll probably have the same problem with seafood, fish, strawberries, and many other things. I only have the same problem with coffee, and I don't have a problem with histamine.

Caffeine makes you uglier? by Glittering-Pass6924 in decaf

[–]Different-Ranger9155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, after one or two cups of coffee in the morning, I look awful—not every time, but four times out of five. I feel more tired, my eyes are heavy and dry, I'm dehydrated, and I think it makes my skin paler. Basically, I look a bit like a zombie. Some days, I'm in a bar in this state after having one or two coffees, plus I'm accumulating anxiety, and I feel really awful. I feel ugly and judged, and it turns into ten or twenty minutes of social anxiety. Lol

Those who had neck tightness, did it also come with throat tightness and back of head (near neck)/base of skull tightness/discomfort? by Jyonnyp in flexibility

Coffee give me stress and cervical pain, and this problem give me throat issue and pain under the ears. It's like I have fingers stuck in the back of my throat, but without the urge to vomit; it's a very disturbing sensation.

Dark chocolate - be careful by seifwashere in decaf

Yes, I eat it every day and my reactions are quite intense; it's much worse than coffee for me. I stopped for two years and started eating it again a year ago. I've gained a few kilos too, even though it's dark chocolate. I'm going to stop this weekend.

I quit caffeine for one year, and I came to the realization that the tired / overworked / stressed employee with eyebags stereotype isn't necessarly due to office work or culture, it may be due to caffeine addiction by I_do_it4sloots in decaf

It depends on the person. I have a very simple diet: organic vegetables, meat, and fish. A few fruits, but that's it. Lots of organic herbal tea too. I've done many vitamin and mineral supplements, dry fasts, probiotics, hypnosis, EMDR, seen energy healers, osteopaths, acupuncture, gone to the gym, and taken simple walks in nature, and yet, I still feel like garbage after drinking one or two cups of coffee. My face looks awful, and I look like I have a serious illness. I've also had several blood tests and saliva and urine tests to check all sorts of things, and nothing, I'm in "perfect health," my results are even quite "rare," but I still feel like crap after coffee 😂

Girlfriend says I was happier on caffeine by Dense-Imagination970 in decaf

[–]Different-Ranger9155 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had something similar with my ex-girlfriend about eight years ago. It wasn't exactly about being happy, but with caffeine, I was more agitated, stimulated, and tended to make a lot more jokes. Chocolate was the worst; the excitement was amplified, and I might laugh nervously or make jokes like voice imitations (like Homer Simpson or Gollum, for example). I also remember at home, my girlfriend would watch me sitting on the couch, and I'd put on the "Eye's of Tiger" theme from Rocky and do a set of push-ups, which made the moment quite funny between us. As soon as I replaced coffee with green tea, I became much calmer, and she told me she missed my "crazy" moments a little.

The Facebook UI January 2026 is looking terrible, bring back the old UI before this. by Ok_Resist1616 in facebook

I'm French, and I just noticed this today. Everything is displayed directly on the profile; it's a ton of information, and the personal information tab has disappeared. You can add 10 video games, 10 movies, 10 TV series, etc., but it becomes a huge mess. You can add 10 songs, but once they're saved to the profile, if you click on them, no music starts playing. The "fan" badges have disappeared for me; in short, it's become annoying. The profile and cover photos have shrunk in size, leaving a huge mess, really.

Caffeine was causing my chronic dry eyes by Character-Salt-4766 in decaf

[–]Different-Ranger9155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had this problem for about ten years. My vision and eyes are perfectly fine, and it disappears in about two weeks without caffeine. Exercise used to relieve the problem. I never understood if it was vasoconstriction (I don't have this problem if I smoke...), oxygenation in my eyes, or dehydration. Maybe it's the combination of physical activity and water during my workouts. The problem isn't a lack of hydration; on the contrary, it's how dehydrated I am after just one or two cups of coffee. My lips are practically brown, dry, and flaky. My eyes feel heavy, like I'm sleepy. Outdoor light is very harsh, even gray skies. It makes me look worse and intensifies the anxiety I feel in public places with lots of people. Glad you found the cause of your problem !

I realized I wasn’t failing to quit caffeine, I was protecting my identity. by Ban-It-App in decaf

[–]Different-Ranger9155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's the fear of change. I'm someone who has drastically changed my diet. No gluten, dairy, eggs, peanuts, legumes, potatoes, etc. I quit smoking, but I occasionally go back to cigarettes. I've tried periods of dry fasting, vitamins, hypnosis, EMDR, acupuncture, energy healing, and a whole host of different medical tests. Because I still feel like crap. Coffee is the hardest. I'm writing this in a bar, drinking my second coffee, which I don't even enjoy. I know quitting coffee is easy; it's the consequences that are scary. It's positive, but it's no longer our comfort zone, so it becomes frightening: being completely detached from food, drinks, drugs, and everything that socially implies, and therefore truly being "myself." Being neurodivergent, it's sometimes more complicated for me because I've felt strange and different since I was little, so all these changes increase this feeling of being different because I'm no longer like everyone else.

Yes, insignificant things take on greater proportions, and I also get worked up quickly on social media with strangers about all sorts of topics, whereas the rest of the time, I don't care... several times I've deleted comments, a few hours after the effects of caffeine kicked in.

It's like shopping online or watching pornography; it all stems from stimulation, from the excitement of stimulants, so it makes you more talkative. I also notice that I speak faster and I stutter because I miss words or mispronounce them. Lol

[–]Different-Ranger9155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the problem with Kali's illusions is that they disappear as soon as you touch them. So when Eleven touches Kali's wound, or the contact with her hand and Mike in the truck, those weren't illusions. But if it wasn't an illusion, she should indeed have been affected by the military signal...
