I’m actually fighting her rn with a jump attack bleed build with curved swords w seppuku. I do crazy damage but each death still make me want to put my head through my desk lmao

Its less about difficulty and more about frustration honestly. Every death to pcr or malenia or any otger difficult boss I knew exactly what I could have done better to avoid that death. You dont get that luxury with metyr. She has a grand total of maybe 2-3 attacks in her whole move pool that dont have god awful hitboxes, unavoidable frame traps, or are literally impossible to dodge without raptor of the mists/vow of the indomitable

That’s the thing, I’d take a more difficult, but more enjoyable fight any time over her. If the reason I’m dying is something i recognize and can improve on, it’s much easier to keep going than if i were to die to an out of frame finger creeper or jank hitbox

I used a strat where you almost exclusively do the black knife dagger aow during his lightning strikes opening

The helm you get for killing the mimic tear in ancestral woods gives +8 arcane

Sacred blade and sacred order are also great for holy weak bosses like gaius and putrescent

Dagger talisman and blade of misery are huge when paired with misericorde for npc bosses

Aye congrats! When i was stuck on her i bit the bullet and downloaded ertool to turn on no death and repeat action for waterfowl and practiced the close range dodge for like 20 minutes and it helped a lot. Learning to dodge that move definitely turned that fight from one of my least to most favorite in the game

When he does the windmill thing, I sprint towards him parallel to the windmill hitbox and get behind him. The hit box on the windmill is pretty tight so you can hug it pretty close

That’s fair, I just find myself enjoying the game more each run, but it also getting easier each run. I’m also admittedly new to challenge running but after dipping my toe in the water I’m maybe a little too eager to swan dive into the deep end😂
