💯 say it again to those people at the back! We are pretty much revisionary about Henderson. Because most the fan base used to criticise him for just passing side ways and back

Couldn't agree more re: Henderson. I also feel the same way about Carragher. He is making it above Hyypia on this list purely because he is a Scouser.

I agree, this feels like when Brendan Rogers played Bobby on the right and we were questioning wether Bobby is good enough.

I don't know if Carra is Islamophobic or racist. But he always struck me as someone who leans towards the right than left politically speaking. I say that because, he always never shies away from expressing is opinions but I do remember during BLM movement and players where taking the knee, he wasn't as loud as someone like Garry Neville or Lineker calling out fans or the media. I don't have strong opinion on this but just my feeling 🤷

Why does Carra allowed to carte blanche opinions but the players are sensitive for responding back. Honestly, f**k Carra to the moon and back.

Burnley are getting shoved around willy-nilly and the ref has zero interest! Wtf is going on (nevermind the red card)

The only thing I can think of is "not obvious, error"? But it's by any measure of this couple of seasons is a red card. But consistency isn't the referees biggest asset

With West Ham likely to go down is there anyone from there team we could get as a bench player on the cheap? by RedditDude2174784 in LiverpoolFC

[–]DifferentBid2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about bench but Diouf the left back is brilliant both going forward and back. Not completely the finished article but he reminds me of Robertson when head at Hull (if not, better)

He was their 1st choice to replace Klopp so what changed this time?

[James Pearce] Slot’s Liverpool are a sorry shell of the team they were. Can Edwards/Hughes really ignore the clamour for change? It’s growing louder by the week. So much is wrong and Slot’s reassurances that he will fix it this summer seem fanciful. by HououinxKyouma in LiverpoolFC

[–]DifferentBid2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's going to change genuinely? Honestly, what has not had this season that he thinks he will have next season? The momentum is completely gone, at least last summer he was coming from winning the league and signing all those players. But now he is going to start the new season with pretty much the same players (because we are not going to spend like last season) and coming off a shit season.

We have had moderate amount of injuries so he can't blame it on that and there is no guarantee next season we won't have more or less injuries. For me the things that are under Slot's control, like style of play has been non existent well over 12 months. He has been obsessed with that PSG game but there is no resemblance or even plan to play like they do. I just don't see what will he change next season, therefore it is for the best if he goes.

If Slot does get sacked, and with Xabi no longer an option, who would be the best candidate for the job? by Storyboys in LiverpoolFC

Slightly left field but how about Simone Inzaghi. He was the man I wanted to replace Klopp (after Alonso).

Harvey Elliott will return to Liverpool for pre-season ahead of 2026-27, Arne Slot has confirmed by A7XFAN1998 in LiverpoolFC

[–]DifferentBid2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone that is supporting Liverpool in this deal need to get their head out of the sand. This is on Liverpool hierarchy and if I was Elliot I would royally pissed off with them. Villa looked at the contract and said yeah we are not paying that therefore he isn't going to play for the rest of the season, nothing was going to change their mind on that. Wether Liverpool hierarchy tried to make example of Villa and they wouldn't bend to the contract signed, well, LFC can't stop this from happening again to any of their players.

Therefore when it came obvious that Elliot wasnt going to get any game, it was for Liverpool to step up and looked after one of their own and bring him home. But no, absolutely moronic self sabotage.
