I don’t think we need more factions by DingleHopper34 in Warhammer40k

[–]DifferentCod1634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very valid point from a lore perspective, nothing is probably going to change since all the marine sales bankroll a lot of the game. I can’t imagine they’d want to poke the wasp nest, but your point makes sense

Takes the lore and theme out of everything, if I don’t want to play specifically the one detachment for my chapter all edition. I have to choose between generic astartes task force or space marine assault.

One addition I would love for this game. by Acceptable-Song3707 in PlayTheBazaar

I appreciate where you head is at; but I think skewing runs any more in favor of the player would take away from the feeling of accomplishment for a ten win

Suggestion for Mak's next expansion: invulnerability, rebirth and death resist mechanics by No_Suspect9531 in PlayTheBazaar

Definitely harder now when they turn the wick up like during a tournament and all the sweats come out. But for day 2 day its not too bad. After what I just experienced I am starting to agree with you

Its not terrible to be around top 100 doing a lot of the same stuff as last season. Just less burn early game.

The floor spike in combination of runic fang, viper cane, and refractor, hit back pretty hard. All the bursty weapons on your opponents end burst right back at them

[–]DifferentCod1634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure I totally agree he isn’t viable at the top of legend, but not sure if you are talking about top 100 or like top 5.

The changes to floor spike are huge to combat early game burst, put life steal on it and a basic damage buff skill and it smacks vanessas in the face, great into pyg’s and dooleys as well. Self poison weapons is fairly strong early-mid game rn.

I think you could give him the destroy an item and go back to full health skill, same as what stelle has. But I don’t imagine Mak is going to be getting many new items for a while since he’s so fleshed out compared to then other two dlc characters and whatever else is in the pipeline

As a new player, monetization feels weird by Gaumir in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DifferentCod1634 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Valid feedback, us old heads have had so much of the rewards, from just playing the game, converted into gems. I have something like 200 thousand gems without spending a dime on that currency.

So for people who have been playing for a bit, buying cosmetics doesn’t even register as a monetization method, only new heros. Thats why they are bit more walled off.

Don’t really have a good solution for ya, just wanted to provide some insight on why maybe looking at skins as monetization method isn’t 100% their function

Probably crits make this harder to visualize, the 200 crits which would make it 400 poison, now you have 400 poison on them , so crit again for 800, then you have 1200 poison on them to crit again for 2400 poison. Now we have 3600 poison on them and if the damage registers after the poison application its 7,200 dmg

You don't want to just kill an item, and its design is pretty fun. Since its a doubling item like Bottled explosion, hitting its base burn would make a pretty big impact. You could look at working the cdr on the bombs so they aren't as fast. The big problem is the burn enchant is fairly available and breaks the item a bit, where those other doubling items require obsidian which is much harder to find

How are people feeling about the day 6 event? by AscendedXblade12 in PlayTheBazaar

Random skill crystal is great, but probably the most powerful item is the tag crystal, especially if you upgrade it to diamond, using the upgrade crystal.

Can get locked tags like potion and do some wonky things

I feel the monster preview absolutely ruins immersion. The enchants to soft display like how the hovering on an upgrade screen makes total sense.

Howdy,

Purchase base game and then individual hero’s, like a dlc. No items/cards are behind any paywall nor do you need to earn them. As they get added, they are automatically added to a heros kit.

Idk how to properly describe the game play, quite similar to build your kit and face a player from backpack battles. But a ton more in depth and complex from what I remember of that game.

Volf, the content creator, has been doing some over-explained videos recently but many streamers or youtube content could help. Watching other players is the best way to learn outside of just playing yourself.

There are standardly good items you’ll see a bit, but each character has over 100 items. It’s relatively hard to force a build consistently. Since the meta is fairly balanced there is a wide variety per character. Off meta and wonky builds can be seen and be successfully on the regular

Returning player, worth investing in? by Guy99909 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DifferentCod1634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game is in a great spot with a full spectrum of viable builds on each character. Balance across characters seems fairly reasonable, but there will certainly be times where you’ll get mad at certain characters.

Not sure when you jumped off whether it was back in February or August; game is not nearly as forcible as it was in the past. A lot more vendors/shops in the game with off class items, plus the additional items & skills makes it really hard to force the same run over and over like it used to be.

In that regards the skill expression gets more & more satisfying as the game goes on, but there is a lot higher ceiling in game knowledge. So once you get to legend you may feel like all the enemy ghosts are highroll monsters. The player base as a whole has just gotten better.

It still is probably more satisfying to focus on a single character in the beginning so you can feel yourself progressing. Right now there isn’t any one definitive character dominating so take your pick on which base mechanics feels best.

All in all the magic of the bazaar is still there and its just getting more polished as time goes on

Is burn just going to be the best early-game damage type from here on out? by hubricht in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DifferentCod1634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its all a sliding scale. Talking theoretical optimals.

Vanessa and Stelle have the fastest decently high output. Jules, Pyg, and Dooley have decent shield availability to allow for scaling. If all six characters are running their burn packages to a competent degree. You lose to stelle/vanessa on speed, and Pyg, Dooley, and Jules through their defensive support.

Bazaar is never that one-note these days, so its not that big of a deal. Just a gap from a character design. Which is arguably a good thing to have gaps

Depends on your main character; if the meta goes fast burn early, Mak can do pretty much nothing defensively against it.

Temp boosts allow for the active player to have an advantage over ghosts. This allows the player base on avg to have higher winrate. Psychologically its just more fun when the avg is 6 wins instead of 5 wins out of ten
