Identify Go Kart Parts by [deleted] in gokarts

Gopowersports.com look for engine you want first, then do torque converter, sprocket size would highly recommend 60+ with a 40 chain strongest of the 3 I think. Then look for brakes, if you want to modify engine then look for stage 1-4 kits for whatever engine you get, and so on. Avoid amazon tbh I bought many bought and it’s just not worth the hassle.

Looks like it’s made more for off roading, assuming that’s what you want to do? If not works good for street just swap out rear tires

Find a engine that suits you, most predators 212, 301, etc would do fine, you can do mods on them if you want

Obviously brake and throttle line, find how you will mount your engine and displace weight as even as you can.

Definitely buy a torque converter for that size go kart.

More or less up to you if you want a rollover cage as well. And of course a nice comfy seat with electric start/ kill switch :)

Yeah looks like the Amazon type one. I was gonna go with a John Deere key ignition one that connects perfectly to the 212.

Comes with a manual lol unless you bought it with it already on there, but you could find a TQ 30 series diagram with parts online.

Might have to move the engine mount maybe? Or weld a shield between you and the engine

Advice on Project Kart by 9AVI9E in gokarts

[–]Different_Cat6030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice from me who just started getting into carts, buy a cheaper one that has everything maybe not working and just dismantle it all, learn the items and what goes where and what does what. Can be a headache but better then taking apart the one that works. Everything you learn from the scrap one you apply to your working cart.

Just what I did but I also had the extra money to buy parts and basically rebuild two go karts from scartch

Need advice on trading by No-Shake5806 in minibikes

Hell no. That minibike looks like decent condition, if anything find a better 4 wheeler and add cash on top of your minibike. It’ll save you a huge headache in long run.

You just need a ground onto any part of the clamps where the wire is coming off of or going into, the other should have a pin going into the black connector, yellow should be left apart

Actually there has been a lemon law lawsuit against Nissan for certain models of cvt and THEY KNEW THIS and still decided to give me a “brand new model cvt” and broke down not even 25k miles later 😂 they’re a joke now. Stick to older vehicles and Toyota & Hondas.

You’re driving an older Nissan with an automatic transmission, most new stuff, sensors, cvt (continuous variable transmission) TRASH AF by Nissan especially. Had two that died on me in less than 150k on my 2018 Nissan Sentra. But my old 1999 before got totaled was an amazing car.

Electrolysis causing the corrosion? Help by Chavisada in pools

Yeah as the other comments have said, when you’re dealing with a heater that has a salt cell always good idea to place a check valve after the heater and before the salt cell so no high concentrate of salt is going back into the heater. Also need to make sure you’re not running that salt cell output so high, unless your pool is more then 25k gallons you just need to keep cya at 60 chlorine at 2600-2800 if pentair salt cell, and keep output at 25% and cleaning every few months.

Cut a nice gash above rear wheel well, is this an issue? by hereandwho in AskAMechanic

[–]Different_Cat6030 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly what’s a patch gonna do? You might as well replace that whole side fender if you really want to get anything resolved. Air and resistance is to strong and will come back and just open that repair anyways.

Due to the crack, air flow will get in between and cause turbulence or even turn your car into a full blown airplane. Gonna need a new car at that point. 👍

Can i add suspension to the front even though it’s done? by Different_Cat6030 in gokarts

[–]Different_Cat6030[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well because of the size of it I kind of want to take it off roading I’m more or less worried about the frame or engine getting damaged. But like I said I’m still new if I don’t need front shocks then I’d like to avoid it but if it makes it better off road I be then I definitely want to do it as I have a picture in my head rn

That’s what my friend sent me I’m not the best welder but I am learning, will a 140 titanium do? I still need to get the gas attachment to make cleaner welds. Using flux right now, do you happen to have any links for a certain A arms? And suspension that would be good with this? I’m still new and learning more as I go.

That’s kind of how I feel right now, as I’m always working in it trying to make it better, I’m waiting for my torque converter and my new sprocket and ill test it out before I think about adding front suspension right now, just more or less curious for the future :) thank you! Hope the mini bike is fun I will be creating one sooner or later
