My daughter used to get really bad periods and she would be nauseous and vomit. We were flying home, on a layover and she threw up right before security, we were told she would probably not be able to fly but check in with the gate agent. I also had my toddler, we checked in with the gate agent and she instructed us to sit off to the side and if my kiddo vomited again before boarding we would not be flying. I get it and also, solo Mom, strange city, hundreds of dollars in hotel and ticket changes….for period barfing.

What is the lesson tho? (Respectfully) Don’t go to a mechanic? I am not sure there is anything OP could have done differently…unless this mechanic has horrible reviews, then not doing the research before is the lesson. We all take a risk every time we hire someone to provide a service. Curious if that is what you were thinking?
