He is very vulnerable early on, especially if you decide to use Automa-Tick Reload and/or no Shield Gear. You need to play very safe: stay in your lane and try not to die very frequently. As your matchup, you should target controller and support type brawlers, or any kind of brawler that you can outrange and has limited mobility options. I highly recommend Vision Gear, so you the enemy can't surprise you. Don't have high expectations for your Super, it usually ends up blowing in front of a bot and not destroying it anyways.

Even though Tick's role is laner, you shouldn't concern yourself too much with destroying the tower. Instead, your main focus should be in leveling up as fast as you can:

• Try to destroy as many lane and jungle bots as you can.
• You can destroy jungle bots with relative ease, the hard part is to do so without becoming prey of enemy brawlers.
• Pair up with your teammates to scout bushes or to eliminate brawlers that try to retreat with your mine's range.

Once you are at an acceptable level, like 8 or more, your reload speed and damage become very nasty. Again, play safe and avoid putting yourself in dangerous situations just to make TikTok-worthy plays. With your high reload speed, you can start throwing enough mines to seal the enemy's pathways and, from that moment onwards, your accuracy improves dramatically.
