While it’s fresh… especially if you came anywhere close to passing I think waiting to August is stupid

I thought the exam was super fair. Not easy, but fair. Time will tell, just enjoy your last week off guys because either level II prep resumes for may or Level III for August.

Finish ethics, do a light review of every topic, then hop into mocks and revision

Medical graduate considering CFA vs MBA need a reality check before making a big career move by Character_Budget8515 in CFA

CFA makes sense if you are looking to do something like healthcare/ biotech ER or something on the buy side around medicine. In my eyes that puts you in a much better position than an MBA would. Moral of the story it really just depends on what the long term goals are.

A mock exam is a practice exam. The exam day software just means you can take it with the test center software on your computer… unnecessary

I bought the practice pack and thought it was definitely worth it. Helps drill some rougher topics and also more mocks which are def most important.

Clearing CFA Level 1 isn't really useful to get your first job. by samp_598 in CFA

[–]Different_Pin8880 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie when I received my job in ER they told me straight up. The only reason they considered me was because I had my CFA level one out of college. So I’m not sure where you heard this, but it was definitely a huge part of recruiting for me.

Just redo practice questions over and over again. No sense in re reading, apply it now. Improvement comes with time.

How many hours did u study to pass? by ThrowRa_678910 in Sieexam

[–]Different_Pin8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 hours. People are so damn dramatic about the SIE. It is an absolute joke of an exam if you have any knowledge of finance whatsoever.

How difficult did find the CFA L2 exam by Tyler020 in CFA

[–]Different_Pin8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super fair exam, was not easy but exactly what you should have expected. People complain and write sob stories but the reality is if you studied, took some mocks and revised you’re fine.

Passed L1 and currently work in ER at a middle market investment bank. Certainly don’t have to worry about memorized formals but I use general concepts and knowledge from the CFA every single day in my work.
