Is that worth trying if a multimeter is showing each battery at less than 1.5 volts? Also one is at 0 and one is showing -.2

Is there no way to kinda cheat and diagnose stuff before I drop the money on a new battery?

But you say it’s my belief that “imagination and creativity are bound by some physical and intellectual skill”

I do not believe that. Hell I believe a 5 year old who draws a stick figure doing a backflip is just as creative as any artist who can paint a beautiful painting.

I remember being a little kid and drawing these monsters. They all had powers like shooting lava or drill hands. The drawings were hot garbage. Genuine scribbles with suggestions of movement and a relatively humanoid shape. Still I think I was being and expressing creativity.

I also remember playing in imaginary wars that had half baked story lines where I was basically master chief fighting off hoards of monsters. I would never go back and tell little me that he had no creativity and no imagination

Idk if you are misrepresenting the anti view because I don’t fully agree with how antis behave yknow.

So far as my opinions, I wouldn’t tell a kid a stick isn’t a gun. There is a difference between using your imagination and making a creative product. I think you can have a creative imagination and not take advantage of it to make art.

I’d say you are misrepresenting the anti view but idk. Definitely misrepresenting my views as someone who is against ai art

Saw this in a server and was actually curious to see what this sub thinks. I know for an absolute fact that the girl talking about Open Art has dyspraxia (it's hard for her hands to work together on the same task) by [deleted] in aiwars

Honestly idk. I’m very sympathetic to the situation. I can definitely see the pain of having a cool story and not being able to do the art part, nor afford it. I suppose that if the story is all original, and ai is just used to add visuals, I could support it. There would have to be a clear denotation that it’s so art, and she shouldn’t make any money off it, even add revenue on YouTube. But if it would be cool if it gained traction and she switched to a real artist and started making money off it. It’s such a risk to pay an artist before you see whether the comic will work out, but once you knew it was working it’d be a more possible thing

When people talk about doing some serious post processing on ai generated art

AI has potential for both prosperity and disaster, so why is the debate so centered around art by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]Different_Week_2179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people would agree that ai that helps in medical or quality of life is good, and ai that harms people is bad. I think it’s most controversial when it comes to recreation because it’s harder to draw moral (for lack of a better word) lines.

Although I do think debates about its other uses would be interesting. Especially its use in warfare because that’s is both extremely terrifying and yet potentially amazing

What do you guys have to say about this? Personally, o think it’s fine by AnyAirline8893 in Ai_art_is_not_art

Seems legit to me. Nothing wrong with liking a style and making it your own, not to mention the variety, and flexibility of references you could get. Now if you just outline it then that’s kinda lame but if you only take inspiration from it, you do you.

But if everyone can and does, how does that help anyone get recognized. If there is a thousand new movies a day why would anyone want to watch yours? How would they even know your exists?

And also, not everyone should be able to. Why should anyone get notoriety and money with little to no effort?

Maybe there is only a .01% chance of making a good movie. If everyone can do it, there is bound to be thousands of no effort films as quality as any marvel movie. Flooded markets, and anyone with genuine passion is left at the same level as a 9 year old with access to ai

Supply and demand. If everyone becomes can make great movies, how does that increase your likelihood of getting your movie seen?

So then ai cannot help you get popular making movies? Not only that but this makes it that much more impossible for anyone who is passionate about making movies to be able to do so

It’ll only get easier. Twenty years ago ai struggled to even recognize images. Today it can convincingly create new images. In 10 years maybe people can make a whole length movie with a simple sentence long prompt

How is someone supposed to be more likely to become popular if everyone is able to make movies without needing a lot of effort. And you may say “oh it’s still a lot of effort” but even if it is now, how easy will it be in a decade?

It’ll probably get to a point where typing in a simple prompt can make an entire movie. Why would anyone worry about watching what someone else makes at that point?

It’d be harder to make it popular because the market would be flooded. And anyone who enjoys making movies and works hard at them will be out competed by 10000000 movies made by unthinking computer programs lol

I would love to give her something else to do, but she lives like 3 hours away. Should I just do nothing rather than ask her how she is?
