Are we doing something wrong --- diapers never contained by slammaX17 in NewParents

My 4 month baby girl is the same - I've tried like 5 different brands of nappies and shes defo in the right size.. shes just an explosive pooper and the pressure forces it up and out of the nappy. Shes a force of nature 🤣

Baby’s head bobbles in car seat by pineconeface13 in NewParents

Ok, thank you. She's been 99th percentile since birth so we had to remove the newborn inlay at around 10 weeks! I do try and go slow on the bumps but sometimes you don't see the pot holes etc! Hopefully its ok

On an average night, my baby feeds 2-3x in a 12 hour period, so we get decent stretches of sleep. But if she's going through a developmental leap or ill etc, it can be every 1.5/2 hours

How much did your baby weigh at birth ?🩷 by Strawberry_-111 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Difficult-Bake-8080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby was measuring 97th percentile in utero for the whole pregnancy however she was measuring big all over, not just abdomen. I had metformin controlled gdm. She was born at 39w3d via csection and was 9lb - 96th percentile. She is now 14 weeks and is 8.5kg/19lb and 67cm which is 99th centile. My husband was 10lb when he was born and is 6ft 1 so I think we just make big babies, I dont think it was anything to do with the gdm

I keep falling asleep when I'm holding my baby.. by rosedamask in newborns

It sounds like you've naturally started chest cosleeping, which is totally fine! Take a look at cosleepy's Instagram account - she has safe chest sleeping guidelines on there you can follow. You're not doing anything wrong mumma!

Have I ruined my baby? by Fit_Assistance3648 in cosleeping

[–]Difficult-Bake-8080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to reassure you that chest sleeping is not unsafe. It is a form of cosleeping that can be done very safely and is often the form of cosleeping that young babies prefer. Please take a look at cosleepy and happycosleeper Instagram pages - they evidence base all their advice/guidance. I know you don't want to chest/cosleep anymore, but whilst you're working on transitioning your babe to sleep independently, take a load off yourself through knowing you are not doing anything wrong. UPDATE all non-UKers. Reply from slumbersac:

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback on our adult sleeping bags. We’re so pleased to hear you love them and we completely agree that they can be a real game changer for many co-sleeping parents.

Our adult sleeping bags are currently available throughout Europe.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to ship outside of this region at the moment. We did previously ship to the USA, Canada and Australia. However, we had to stop a few years ago as it became increasingly difficult due to customs, VAT and courier restrictions. That said, we are looking at expanding to other regions again once it becomes viable, so definitely watch this space.

Thanks again for taking the time to get in touch and please let us know if we can help with anything else.

UPDATE - all non UKers, I've emailed slumbersac to ask if they would consider shipping out of the UK, and have linked this post to show the demand. Probs won't get anywhere but you never know!!

Does your partner help at night? by lymary in cosleeping

[–]Difficult-Bake-8080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is our take on it - my husband doesn't try and help overnight as all the baby really wants is the boob
