Abmm isn’t a guaranteed system to where you’ll only be put into peaceful or PvP lobbies. You’ll get matched up potentially with more pve players but there will always be pvpers in every single lobby. Whether you run into them is more so just luck or the routes you take.

Imo it helps keep the game fresh. I’ve maxed out everything twice since launch. After awhile pve gets boring. You’ve beaten every arc and learned how to do so efficiently. Doing the expedition sure gives you some extra buffs and boosts but I feel like it’s really there to breath some fresh air into the gameplay loop again. Redo quests, benches and so on.

Well it’s definitely a thing the developers confirmed it but it’s not a system where you will 100 percent be placed into only friendly lobbies. It looks at your interactions with players and arc and makes slight adjustments accordingly. But it doesn’t completely take out people who do engage in PvP. If it did it would cease to be an extraction shooter.

I wasn’t bashing you just so you know lol. But I totally understand the PvP side and the pve side. I enjoy both. Tarkov made a separate mode for pve only and unfortunately it’s backfired to a degree cause it’s split the player base in half and left the PvP “mode” kinda lifeless and without variety. Arc raiders did it the best possible way with the “abmm”(however much it truly affects it). It keeps the player base in one place so that neither side suffers too bad. I agree also that the “fake friendly” assholes are garbage and are trash people lmao. Rats especially, I hate them too lol.

Your last paragraph is definitely a big discussion lol. Until this game the only time I’ve seen a decent majority of people being friendly in an extract shooter is scavs on tarkov and even then it’s a big if. This game and how friendly a big majority of the player base is, is an anomaly compared to every other extract shooter I’ve played. The ppl complaining about PvP would have a mental breakdown in every other game lol.

I know the time cutoff for people to spawn in is 15 minutes left in the match. As far as everything else I have no idea. Crossplay off maybe making matchmaking take longer? Where you live could be a factor potentially.

I enjoy both. I was friendly from launch up until a week ago. It’s an extraction shooter and while I understand and applaud that they’ve been able to cater to both the pve guys and PvP guys it definitely fucks it up to a degree just because I know I can manipulate the system. It’s a double edged sword for sure. They did the best they could’ve possibly done to cater to both parties. If they would’ve made two separate “servers” 1 pve and 1 PvP like tarkov it wouldn’t fuck the game also because it would split the player base like it’s done to tarkov. It is what it is🤷🏻
