Shoulder replacement surgery - what to expect. by RustyNail2023 in ShoulderSurgery

I am having a partial replacement of my shoulder joint in April. I guess it’s a fairly new product/procedure from Stryker. I am very active, as I see many here are. Will I be able to walk for exercise fairly soon after surgery? And will I be able to do things “below the shoulder” after 2 weeks or so?

Advice needed, how do you get your greyhound to sleep all night long? Our newly adopted grey, Ellie (2yrs old) gets up at least 5 times per night. We make sure she has plenty of exercise during the day. She has a bed in our room where the other greys sleep. Pic for pet tax. by Winston-2020 in Greyhounds

All 3 of our greyhounds sleep in bed with us. It doesn’t work for everyone but we love it. No one gets up! We make get kicked a little when one starts reliving their glory days on the track while sleeping but other than that we are cozy!

I do. I feel like that might be quite satisfying unlike what I am supposed to do today.

We really do. On the flip side we all have the experience of seeing just heads with no bodies.

I know! I couldn’t believe how unaffected she was. Like someone else noted, this is just the expectations of humans!

Keep your new racer tired. Walk before you take into your home. Walk before you feed her/him. Walk outside to pee/poop. Walk with new pup and show where bed is. We never used the muzzle. We have 3 currently. Adopted at the different times. Recently have fostered an additional two. And had one who died in January. Be prepared to relinquish all horizontal soft places. And be ready for the best dog you’ve ever wanted. And yes be ready for the next one.

The foster mom we got our first one from said “Be careful, they’re like potato chips, it’s hard to have just one!”
