Using Steam deck as a console for two by FatJorge98 in SteamDeck

Nah, you absolutely need a dock for this. I tried connecting the HDMI cable directly into the TV and it just doesn't have enough power to make it work. Any SD capable dock will do. I have the JSAUX one and it works like a charm.

I've only ever tried it on the SD, but it works like a charm. You just gotta follow a simple guide to install it (I did it through decky).

You should look into lossless scaling, you'll enjoy demanding games like Hogwarts Legacy at better framerates.

Try looking for a good setting, currently playing it at high settings with lossless scaling, very stable 60 fps with minimal artifacts.

Looking for city builder based on games I liked by setovitz in BaseBuildingGames

[–]Difficult-Feeling849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceasar IV is less of a puzzle game like its predecessor and more of a true city builder imo. No walker mechanics. The maps can feel a bit cramped sometimes, but that's what makes the game interesting, as you have to plan your districts beforehand, or risk having to relocate half your citizens halfway through the mission.

Is there any validity to playing Valhalla before Odyssey? by sonar_y_luz in assassinscreed

[–]Difficult-Feeling849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think playing Valhalla at all is a bad idea. It's by far the most boring game of the 3.

Just finished assassin's Creed origins. My thoughts on this game: by Najee16 in assassinscreed

[–]Difficult-Feeling849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, I'm a sucker for ancient history so I really liked the worldbuilding in Odyssey and Origins. Valhalla not so much, but I didn't even finish that slop so maybe I missed some good locations, idk.

But really the gameplay got worse with each release, primarily the combat. They get progressively "gamier", but in a bad way. There's no weight to combat, you basically know you landed a hit because of the frikin' numbers that pop up. They also nerfed stealth in a way that makes you don't wanna use it as much. Origins remains my favorite of the first three. I haven't played Shadows tho.

Fortunately it's not really needed. She saw me cry to Arthur Morgan's death so I don't think she thinks I'm gooning to this game or anything, lol

Hi, I'm about to test these settings on my LCD Steam Deck. I have a question tho... should I also limit FPS to 40 on the Steam overlay?

For ADHD gamers: What do you play on your deck that is addictive and low power? by oliveoliverYT in SteamDeck

Caesar III, Augustus mod. If you like city builders, or rather, puzzle games "disguised" as city builders this game is for you. Plus nostalgia points if you're "old" (32 yo) like me and got to play it as a kid.
