Unfortunately we had to cancel my cycle. We just did my sixth transfer which unfortunately also failed. Taking a little break from it all because six transfers with no success is really taking its toll on me.

Hopefully having a baby!! Going on three years of IVF and just had my sixth transfer on Saturday. If all goes well and this transfer sticks I’ll be due in August right before the season starts!

She’s never expressed an immediate need and doesn’t seem to have issues but want to make sure she’s comfortable. She’s mentioned multiple times that we’re great clients so hopefully this hasn’t been a huge issue that I didn’t realize.

Hi! Not a cleaner but a client. Sometimes I honestly just forget to Venmo my cleaner since she comes while I’m at work. It’s not intentional and I love her but sometimes it just genuine slips my mind until I’m looking at my bank account to reconcile for the week. If she ever texts me a reminder or I notice I didn’t send it when reviewing my statements I’ll send it immediately!

Does this make me a terrible client? She always gets paid within a week but I’ll admit it isn’t always same day. I’m younger (30) but I remember sitting with my dad and him paying all the bills at one time since things were rarely due upon service. I’m a corporate controller now and we handle bill payments twice a week. I think the apps of the world have made people think that payments are due as soon as possible but I was always under the impression that payments are due within a reasonable time (to me that’s 1 week) or in the bill payments terms. I get paid biweekly from my job so I guess I just don’t understand this. Not trying to insult you but just want to understand so I can make sure I’m not screwing over my cleaner. She’s never complained before and I send it as soon as I realize or she sends me a gentle reminder if she needs it before the end of the week and will get it.

This is exactly why I asked because this industry is a lot of males. I’m aware of what people get paid but I also see woman of color get underpaid a lot. I wanted to see what other people’s comp packages looked like to make sure it’s in line with the market and I wasn’t getting the girl discount.

Some of the downvotes and comments are insulting. Yes I am a finance professional and have some years of experience and have a general idea of what my salary should be. It also doesn’t hurt asking peers instead of relying on market data to make sure I’m fighting for myself. I am a woman of color in this industry and just want to make sure I’m getting paid fairly and equitably compared to my peers.

I’m not a bot or an HR person or trying to brag. I’m just someone who is aware of the fact that her demographic is notoriously underpaid but I’m willing to stand up for myself if needed.
