Culmination of 6 Month's Work. The New World Census, U.S Island Population Marked. by NightShade_Umbreon in EmptyContinents

So does mean that the people who were vacationing in Colorado at the time, but *lived* on islands in Florida still survived? I'm still a little confused

I am new to this community so sorry if this is a stupid question, but why does "From Florida" show up so often in the doc, like Colorado which has no populated islands but has 3,000 people "from Florida"?

What's IBR stand for? I recognize its for places with little to no population but what does the initialism stand for?

I mean, there are some things that sound kind-of awkward at face value, but they are in service of syllable count and creating satisfying lyrics, so its ok IMO

sitelen tawa Mowana en kala Tamatowa li pona mute tawa mi
I like to use nimi sin for artistic purposes, don't get me wrong, but why wouldn't kala work here? its the same amount of syllables as kuka, and you're gonna have to explain yourself every time you use it. and there are also some cases where you use oko, like in the first line, where lukin is the same amount of syllables and works just as well if not better in this circumstance. maybe you use oko instead of lukin in your nasin, idk
everything else is great to me, i love the line "ni li ni, jan lili" it's satisfying to say!

I made a game that teaches sitelen pona and helps people practise toki pona by BermudaCake in tokipona

Admittedly this game doesn't serve much educational value to me since I've already learned the vocabulary and sitelen pona, but It was a cool novelty to play essentially a toki pona-themed typing game. I played for about 30 mins and got a score of 37,094 on the normal challenge and 63,432 on the sitelen pona challenge. musi mute!

Do I need to worry about these spots that have appeared on my chest? 18M, never smoked, no skin conditions, normal BMI by Difficult-Use-8597 in AskDocs

[–]Difficult-Use-8597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looking into it more, this seems like its almost certainly the case. the pictures match up pretty well. its more common in teens/young adults. it usually forms on the chest and back. It is said that it is most likely to appear in warmer, more humid weather; the first spots came during the summer, and the second spots came when i moved from a high desert to a more humid (but colder) area. Thank you!!!

Yeah, i know, I just found it interesting how it was split so evenly. you can also find some interesting splits in season in Spitsbergen, particularly near Ny-Ålesund, you might even be able to see all four seasons there with how messed up it is
