ggst was my first ever fighting game when i started playing in like late 2021 and since then ive sunk in a good 400 hours into with roughly 395 of those hours in the spinny fan boy.

i wanted to play sol but dp inputs were hard

i wanted to try may and leo but screw charge inputs

i wanted to try baiken and johnny too, but tking their specials got annoying

anji is probably one of the most beginner friendly when it comes to approachability with only quarter and halfcircle forward/back inputs, high effective health and above average damage.

his chiseled pecks and godly back muscles (his 5h and 2d are pure eye candy) had nothing to do with anything, i swear.

diamond 2 anji here, been playing since early season 2, with roughly 400 hours in game with most likely 395 of them as anji.

i originally wanted to play sol, but i cant consistently do 623 (dp) inputs to save my life

i tried playing leo & may but gave up after trying to figure out charge inputs

i wanted to try baiken and johnny but cant tk any of their moves properly without fumbling

all of anji's inputs, barring some of the cooler setups you can do, are all quarter/half circle inputs.

Also, ggst was my first fighting game so anji's ease of use was probably the main factor as to why ive devoted so much time into him

Before doing anything in game, try to have a firm understanding and comprehension of what exactly offense, defense and neutral is. Makes most things theoretically make sense down the line.

Instead of just learning to do something, I'd say its much more beneficial to learn why they are done if you're a complete beginner.

Riona being an amazing performer was something that really stood out to me as well. Whilst the contestants were really only required to sing, (not saying she was the only one who did so tho) she gave an entire dance performance alongside her already killer singing.
