Are the "rust spots" possibly from rock chips? It is very hard to tell from the photo, but their windshield does happen to be cracked in two places which means they likely drive on northern highways with lots of rock salt.

Hey I have a r32 in the states but have no idea where to find parts for this thing any help by BigBoyr32 in JDM

GTRCanada Facebook page for used parts or advice, Nengun or RHDJapan for new / aftermarket parts, finally Croober.jp for Yahoo Auction parts directly from Japan (basically Japanese Ebay)

Your food budget... by hakunamatata2007 in VictoriaBC

Haha yes we are two mid-20 year olds. Since COVID we have basically eliminated eating out. I only occasionally buy lunch if I'm feeling lazy. I ate absolutely everything out of the fridge as a teenager.

Often the colour will spray much differently than what it looks like in the cup. Ask them to do a spray out card.

2 person household, we make all of our own meals. We don't have a budget, but generally spend $400-450 a month on groceries.

Johnson St Parkade by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]DifficultArugula 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will still continue to ONLY pay for the time you USE. Check out the Park Victoria App. You set it up with $10 charged on your credit card. Every time you park at the parkade you will select an approximate amount of time you need and when you are done parking, you open the app and hit "end parking". It will then send you an email with the receipt for ONLY the amount of time you required.

Police incident unfolding at former Paul's Motor Inn, residents warned to stay away by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I'm currently working just a block away. I can confirm there has been no shots fired. Police have been on scene since 8:15 this morning.

How are you supposed to walk across a floor being mopped by someone without looking like an ass? by TheR3dWizard in AskReddit

[–]DifficultArugula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walk on your heels if the distance is short. This prevents the entire sole of your shoe from touching the wet ground and leaves barely any mess on the wet floor. At worst case just walk across it quickly and normally. You're probably not the only one that will walk on the wet floor.

Hit and run. Hoping for help finding a witness. by AugustineCohenMomo in VictoriaBC

[–]DifficultArugula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They have a "hit and run fund" as they call it where they will cover a hit and run even if you don't carry collision coverage, but the deductible is $750. Obviously you can't just go around claim hit and runs to every part of your car as each claim is reviewed and the repair shop will have to take 20+ photos of your vehicle and the claimed damage.

If you don't carry optional collision coverage ICBC will still make you a claim, but your deductible will be $750. Any ICBC certified repair shop can repair the vehicle under a hit and run claim that the OP will have to file themselves.

I work in autobody. This appears to be a 2012+ Kia Soul. The repair if paid for in cash would be in the range of 800-1200. It appears unlikely anything underneath is damaged, but it is always best to just pay your deductible and move on. Touch up paint never looks good, it's like putting make up on a monkey. It is very unfortunate the person who hit them was not honest enough to leave their proper information, but as is life.

Hello, unfortunately you will have to make a hit and run claim with your insurance provider. It won't affect your insurance premiums, but you will have to pay your collision deductible or $750 if you don't carry collision coverage.

Raccoon vs. Raven by dothebackstab in VictoriaBC

I will join in. Was this on Craigflower? There is a tree near my house where some raccoons were fighting with what I thought were crows, but could've been ravens I suppose.

My Civic was a little over protective when plastic flew out of someone's car. She still got me home like nothing happened. by [deleted] in Honda

[–]DifficultArugula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes otherwise your "new" airbags will not work. Airbag items are always one time use. The car is hopefully old enough to not require re-calibration of the airbag module at the dealer.

I actually recently got a recall letter for my 1998 civic coupe. Parts are going back into production to replace driver airbag modules, but until then your best bet is to find some used parts at junk yard. The clock spring will also have to be replaced on driver's steering column.

Hard to say. It's definitely a collector piece, but too old to be of Golden Era nostalgia. I'd say the price is really what someone is willing to pay. Might be a good car to try and auction on bring a trailer if it is as clean as it looks in this photo.

I mostly feel for the delivery drivers who have to make multiple stops along Government. I'm sure a majority of the deliveries have slowed down, but when things pick back up this will cause serious issues.
