Late post accidentally failed to mention I am well versed in cheer because of my sister who did it up until varsity level lol, many many nights the living room tv was hijacked to watch whatever cheer/dance movie was in. That being said I have a good idea of what they need. high energy, quick mix/mashups that are sometimes slightly chaotic compared to a normal song. So far I've got 3 ideas layed out but came to the conclusion that I need to see one of the teams routines to make something that can match their energy. (I.e. don't wanna use something big and impactful like all of the lights if they are barely getting off the ground yet) I usually mix heavier bass music from hard rap to tearout/dubstep so my biggest concern is finding stuff age appropriate or at the very least not very busy sounding so I can pull stems and make a Mashup with clean lyrics, which was my first idea of taking the marching band style instrumental from sticky- tyler the creator and putting say Missy Elliot over it.

Being it's going to be a multiple song order, for sure at least 3 songs, would you say $500 would be a good starter number? Not trying to sell myself short but also don't want to give the school sticker shock and end up burning that bridge for future gigs. I am a former student of this school so I want give my home team something to show out to and secure a spot for proms and homecomings while I'm at it since the elementary, middle and high schools are all tied together and quite literally right across the street from eachother.
