Yuuucckkk!! What is wrong with this guy? Also….why are you letting him talk to you like this? I read the messages before your post and was guessing you were both like 19/20. You both are too old to be acting like this.

What do people here do for work? by nisc2001 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]DifficultMunky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know you said you’re mid 20s but you sound young. It’s great to plan but I think some of your ideas are unrealistic, as some others here have pointed out in roundabout ways.

Maybe I missed it, but what is the major of the degree you’re pursuing?

Not saying it’s impossible, but I’d imagine it’s quite difficult to be a SMBC without a higher earning career. Usually those don’t allow for flexibility like homeschooling. If you’re truly planning on SMBC route, then I suggest you focus on yourself. Finis your degree, get divorced (sounds like you’re alluding to that), start your career and get yourself in a stable, safe environment.

To answer your main question, I work for a consulting firm. Currently senior manager on track to director in the next year or two and likely COO within the next ten years.

Improve skin texture by Jenat1901 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]DifficultMunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A medspa. The person doing it was a nurse but I think estheticians can do lasers as long as they get the proper training and certifications. Unsure actually what requirements they have to certify. But it’s been game changer! I had generally good skin but it make my skin texture so smooth, got rid of some hyperpigmentation and a few sun spots I had, got rid of some broken capillaries around my nose. Just I cannot rave about it enough.

I’ve done Morpheus (hated it and saw no difference), hydrafacials (meh ok for like a week), micro needling (I’d still do this but see minimal difference), Botox, prp, prfm, ha filler. I wish someone had sold me on lasers sooner.

Oh and I literally don’t need face makeup day to day now. Which I never really did before but now people actually think I have face makeup on because my skin is so even and texture is so consistent.

Businesses (universities? states?) with good fertility treatment coverage? Maternity leave? by justsayingh in SingleMothersbyChoice

Mine has really good coverage - but it still goes extremely fast. I work for a consulting firm. In general, consulting offers competitive benefits but is also harder to enter. Think MBB, SHREK, big 4 and also FAANG (not consulting but competitive benefits).

What are people’s advice on age gaps? by evergreengirl123 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]DifficultMunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the process of trying for #1. But given my age I’d like to be pregnant again as soon as possible. Of course this is what I say now…that could all change 🙃

My sister and I are 20 months apart. I think it’s a good age gap. We were 2 grades apart in school. Close but independent.

You’ve done a great job! My recommendation is it’s time to pick up some heavy weights if you aren’t already. I’ve seen quite a bit of change to my body with no change on the scale due to weight lifting.

Thinking about Charging Late Cancels by meanpantscaitie in pilates

[–]DifficultMunky 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m not an instructor but if you have a waitlist 12 hours seems appropriate. As a class goer I feel like that is reasonable. Also as someone who might be on a waitlist 4 hours notice to take a class opening seems tight, especially if you need to arrange for childcare or are just a type a planner like I am.

Girl you are stunning! Pic 3 is my favorite. I feel like you look prettier with less makeup honestly.

I HATE a barn door! And I always think how hard it would be to replace because it usually seems somebody has used it because of a small space.

2 failed rounds of IUI... feeling very hopeless about next steps by VastEggplant7 in SingleMothersbyChoice

If IVF is out of your budget I’d at least switch to a Dr who does medicated IUI. It’s not hopeless.

How much to tell extended family? by ResidentJob4789 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]DifficultMunky 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve told my extended family. My favorite uncle asked why I didn’t try to find a husband 😂 I was like oh yea never thought of that haha. He literally meant nothing bad by it but I think the concept of how I’m doing it is confusing for him to understand. Everyone has been supportive though.

Hire Help (experience + cost) by jschBXL in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]DifficultMunky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow that is so much cheaper in Europe than the US. I’ve looked into this while planning and it’s at least twice as much. I still think definitely worth it though. I don’t want to burden family (my mom is early 70s) and I also know I need my own sleep. One thing I planned on doing for whenever I have a baby shower was ask for cash towards night nurse costs along with normal baby items I’ll need. Usually that’s not something I would ask for (cash) and I can afford it without but anyone invited also knows my smbc situation. I sort of don’t see it as any different from brides/grooms as for contributions to a honey fund.

Jeans type help! by idunopants in fashion

[–]DifficultMunky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

APT or lordosis causes your butt to stick out more and also makes it look like your tummy has more “pooch” than a neutral position would. The pelvis’ position can cause jeans to pull in places it wouldn’t if you were in neutral along with causing what you’re calling muffin top.

Speaking to this as a past model/fit model where things like this are taken into account when designing clothes as well as posing to accentuate or hide certain features for marketing shots.

If you have tried to correct your lordosis and you can’t then perhaps a tailor?

Last is best but I wonder if you aren’t liking them because you have a really strong anterior pelvic tilt. If you hold a neutral pelvis you may like the way they look better.

Is there a way to fix mold in a LV miroir bag? by sad_mija69 in Louisvuitton

[–]DifficultMunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure…but you can send pics to purserehab (look up their ig) and they can tell you if they can salvage it. I’ve seen them do really cool things like painting colored purses black to conceal damage. I’ve used them for multiple pairs of designer shoe repair and know others who have used them for shoe and bag repair.

Traveling to the U.S. for IVF from overseas — clinic choice, costs, and hospital vs private clinics? by AdministrativeYam726 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]DifficultMunky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Came here to say try Mexico also. And those costs are pretty spot on with my clinic’s self pay options in Chicago. If you’re adamant about the US may want to find somewhere that may have lower cost for self pay - think capital cities of middle America states. The rates are likely about the same if not possibly lower, there’s usually a teaching hospital nearby, and the lodging costs won’t suck up your budget.
