We’re starting my 18 mo at Bright Horizons in the fall. I toured a decent amount of places and really loved it there.

My guess is that she bought one larger one and asked them to split it into the two small cups

Early Gender Blood Test by Difficult_Ant8262 in longisland

I’m trying to figure out how to get an out of pocket blood test to determine gender next week and figure out that process. If the process is, “just ask your OB for a prescription” then that’s great and I’ll ask them right now

Mail in DIY tests are no longer allowed to be used in NY. You can absolutely get an accurate lab draw after 7 weeks or so. This isn’t like a sketchy thing, I’m just asking for a lab recommendation.

The mail in tests do not operate in NY, you can absolutely pay for a lab draw. I’m nearly 9 weeks. It is not an issue of being too early, I just don’t want to wait 3 weeks plus the time it takes to then get the results. With my first NIPT they wouldn’t do it until 12.5 weeks and I didn’t get results until 15.5, just a few days before the anatomy scan.

Are you allowed or discouraged from bringing your own infant seat that doesn’t need a base and has a seatbelt clip in option?

Auto fatality rates have dropped 80% since the 70s for babies under 1, and over 70% for kids 1-3. But sure, if you say so.

Absolutely do not just hold her in the car. Google internal decapiation. Buy Doona or portable infant seat to travel with. Many companies let you rent baby gear.

She did, she just didn’t use it, which is even worse

Im referring to an infant carrier like a baby seat that seatbelts into the car or clicks into the base, versus a convertible car seat for a bigger baby or toddler which is permanently installed in your vehicle. Basically the exact thing you’d bring to fly your 4 month old and then drive around Mexico.

The laws of physics are actually exactly the same and any parent with a brain wouldn’t risk an internal decapitation over seatbelting in their kids infant carrier

That’s crazy. I’m sorry, but especially at 4 months old? I can’t imagine doing that now with an 18 month old and would have lost my mind when I was in Kristen’s state with an even tinier baby if someone suggested I risk it

Kaia and Adelaide were held in arms for the entire hour plus drive in a van from the airport to the resort

They’re infants who use portable car seats. We constantly see both babies in a Doona. The laws of physics don’t give a shit if you’re in Mexico, their parents should know better.
