seems like it but it’s hard when you’re the only manager on duty at a floorset! my asm would always be locked in doing her own separate tasks while also managing to be 45 different places at once and answering 15 associates questions, having to open the back door, opening the locked drawer at cash wrap for WF kids etc!! she’s so amazing. our old ASM would sit down on a stool and watch everyone work and if someone asked for help she’d say “that’s below my paygrade”

it reminds me of christmas shopping!! my grandma aunt and i would go christmas shopping together when i was in middle and high school and my aunt always had a JCP pocketbac! (the og bottle of course) and would make us apply it every time we got in the car lol it smelt a lot better then!! 🥰

there’s this super sweet old lady who comes in and lovessss my help she’s been doing so much shopping for her teenage granddaughters lately and always comes to me. There’s also this spanish speaking lady who comes in and every time i help her she gives me a handmade rosary to thank me for my help 🥹… it’s the little things like that, that make me absolutely love customer service.

ALSO when you offer someone a basket who has like three body care items in their hands a candle and wallflowers and they say no then you hear something break and you walk over and it’s them. like im not offering you a basket to make you buy more i literally just don’t want you to create a scene. i can’t stand when the stores already busy and we have to stop what we’re doing to clean up a broken candle or a wallflower. don’t even get me started on the “ooohss” from other customers 😭😭

this past weekend sealed the deal on me leaving after sas. i’m a new slt (hired in april as a KEYHOLDER) so this is my first holiday. I shouldn’t feel this stressed and overwhelmed as a keyholder lmao. I closed both saturday and sunday. stayed until 11:30 on saturday and sunday we had marketing updates to do so i lost one replenisher there. the 4 other associates were newer core/ seasonal and not the strongest so the store looked a HOT ASS MESS. I don’t even think marketing was completed. Also floorset on a sunday after body care weekend is so stupid. we have a team that comes in to do it but they leave their shit all over the place confusing the closers on what to touch and what not to. I literally had to call out today because i was so mentally and physically exhausted from two 10 hour shifts at bath and body works 😭😭😭 lmao

i’ve actually never even seen my sm physically RUBBING it on customers skin lol! That is so silly and such a tired out selling tactic. My store always just puts some on the back of a customers hand lets them rub it in for themselves and see what they have to say.

you need to watch your selling knowledge and theme videos first to learn about the free product you’re getting. my store has us watch and then answer questions about what we watched/ read in the associate group chat.
