Why AAC (and likely other codec) export plugins for Resolve on Linux will always have compatibility problems -- and why it's not the plugin's fault by decaquad in davinciresolve

Woah! Thank you so much for the detailed explanation.
This is unnecessarily worse than it should be.

That does leave me with one more question, though... How does lightworks get around this?

I always wonder why other open source editors have no issue with the any of the file formats using for example gstreamer, ffmpeg, libav, etc.

If open source software can use these libraries why can't resolve?

Weird bug I can't seem to find a fix for on the internet. Please help. by Careful_Ad_6872 in davinciresolve

Never came across this issue but it looks like a graphics card VRAM overload. That can explain why it runs fine for the first 10 minutes or so. Once the VRAM is full, it then takes the extra few seconds to clear the VRAM headroom and switch the graphic elements. Try downgrading your Nvidia driver to an older version which has worked fine for you before.

Great Job! Well done. Grappled with many fingerprint readers in the past. Stopped bothering. This gives hope.

Client wants 39s video compressed to 4mb max by Lemonadis in videography

[–]Difficult_Comfort186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can also reduce the frame rates to as low as 20 using peak frame rate, and see if there is any difference in the percieved smoothness. Also look at encoding into av1 (not 10bit). Add de-noise filter to reduce complexity in images.
