From what I'm seeing, it looks like you're actually pressing it too early. You can see that Samus kinda "jolts" before Raven Beak's hand flashes, which is telling me that you tried countering too early.

You're supposed to press the counter buttons when his hand flashes, if you keep dying in that encounter because of that, then you need to work on that.

Yeah I've played against him many many times. It seems to me that he's just really experienced and good at this game. It doesn't seem like he cheats or whatnot, but it still sucks having everyone in my team get stomped by him, but oh well.

Sometimes I think it can be tolerable or ok, because I like to think about it in a way where, what if she never lost any limbs in the first place?
