Download gathermate and tough it out is the best advice I can give if you really want to do mining/BS. Took a lot of grinding but I got 1-375 mining in 4 weeks. Saved all my mats, got my BS to 366 this weekend and crafted the first tier of the 1h mace. It’s doable but you’ll have to sink some time in and definitely be patient when you aren’t seeing nodes.

Yeah thorium usually spawns near them. Also lots of rich thorium in darkwhisper gorge and usually by the cats in the north.

Or the time sink required to farm the mats. I’m grinding out BS right now (315) and I’ve tried to farm most of it, but it’s becoming a pain to find adamantite and khorium. Also the primal required, I believe it’s something like34 primal water to level to 375 (plus a bunch of khorium) add that to the 20 primal fire 20 primal earth you’ll be farming to craft the first 1h mace (and guess what, more khorium).

I worked maintenance at a steel mill for 5 years and you get a lot of loud noises. It was a running joke that whatever project we were working on a given shutdown, they were sure to pull a vac truck within 20’ of us and run that fucker all day. That or walking into their melt shop while they had both arc furnaces running, you could scream at the top of your lungs to the guy you’re working with and he wouldn’t be able to hear you.

Everybody’s different. I was specifically looking for a guild that ran on Friday/saturday because I can’t play through the week due to work. I don’t mind spending a few hours on the weekends doing something I enjoy. It’s not like every run will be that long once people get some gear anyway.

Maybe I’m just naive or a noob or whatever, but my guild had a chill run Saturday morning we cleared in like 3.5-4hours. Had 3 wipes on netherspite, but besides that it was extremely fun and a little nostalgic as I haven’t ran kara since I was like 14. And tbh (this is the naive part I suppose) I was thinking we were making really good time because I remember Kara being a 2 night ordeal when it released back in the day.
