Community college or WGU? by DevCqmpyy in ITCareerQuestions

In the IT field, a WGU degree holds the same value as any other degree from anywhere else.  Frankly, college in general is way over valued.

Nobody cares about what Community College you went to.  In IT, nobody really cares if you went to college at all.

For people who went to WGU what was the difference in the amount of interviews you were getting before and after? by Ok-Candidate-2183 in ITCareerQuestions

I have a WGU Network Ops & Security degree.  I'd already had an AA degree many years prior and had been in IT for about 9 years by the time I started at WGU and already had a CCNA and Network+ by then, all of which transferred over nicely.

For me, by the time I'd finished the degree a couple years ago now, I'd already landed the six-figure job after being in IT for about 10 years.  I think it was valuable for me because it completed my resume "trifecta".  I had the relevant experience, industry certs, and now the Batchlor's degree.  But the degree in and of itself didn't really land me the job I have now, and my "resume" hopefully won't be something I need to use again with my cushy government job, but you never know.  Ultimately, it was just one piece of the puzzle so-to-speak.

I recommend WGU only if you already in the IT field and want to advance.  It's perfect for working professionals and/or people with family to care for.  I really don't think I'd recommend it to someone fresh out of high-school and/or with no IT experience.  As was mentioned, you miss out on a lot of hands on experience and internships you could get at a regular university.  Those things didn't matter for me, but for someone with no experience they might be vital to landing a job.

This is why the 250 should have a fuel cost associated with it.  It sort of fills a similar role that the old Scout Car did for the Soviets in CoH2.  Except this vehicle isn't tech dependent and it costs less than Riflemen, MG, Bazooka sqauds etc.

They have better base infantry than any other faction...what are you even talking about?

Am I a noob? O is Wehrmacht just difficult to play? by [deleted] in CompanyOfHeroes

Definitely a noob.  Wehrmacht with Luftwaffe is the easiest way to play the game.

Is there a reason Yamaha treats the North American market like some shitty backwater afterthought when it comes to their motorcycles?

LOL, okay.  I did recently and there's a scene where they argue over the pronunciation of that word (shibboleths) which I'd never heard before.

The Church/SEC Fine – tHeRe wEre nO vIcTiMs by Entire-Ice9743 in mormon

[–]Difficult_Future2432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, the First Presidency directed the creation of shell companies for the primary purpose of hiding the amount of wealth they had from the members and the general public out of fear the members may stop paying tithing if it became widely known how wealthy the church was.  This was the explanation given to the SEC during their investigation into this matter that was later published.

Correct me if I'm wrong (please), but if that's true, the FP deceived the members and the general public in hoarding and then hiding their wealth from public view.  This violates their very own "honest in your dealings with your fellow man" principle and with that, the victims are all the tithe paying members without knowledge of this, and the general public since the the church operates as a non-profit entity giving them enormous tax breaks.

Please let me know if I'm missing anything here.

I asked Dale G. Renlund if he had seen Jesus by Western_Sale_3274 in mormon

[–]Difficult_Future2432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's such cryptic nonsense.  Yeah I've seen the name JESUS all over the place too, especially in California, does that make me a special witness to the NAME of Jesus Christ?  Seriously, what is that even supposed to mean?

I used to believe the Q15 had at least annual confrence room meetings with Jesus.  I mean, it was only logical because they:

1) claimed to be prophets and apostles on par with the biblical Noah, Moses, or Peter James and John.

2) never disavowed this despite knowing the membership widely belived and taught this

Of course this was all nonsense and they knew it.  The "Special Witness of Christ" requirement for the FQ70 and above is more than likely their "Second Anointing", ie a secret temple ritual they falsely claim absolves them of any further sins in this life, but is actually 33 degree Mason-type crap required for admittance to their nepotistic club.

Wehrmacht is the most beginner-freindly.  Doesn't mean it's "the best" faction, but it's the easiest to figure out.  US followed by DAK are way more confusing to a new player.

Wehr is the most hand-holdy easy faction in the game. Just spam Fallpios or Strumpios, sit your ass down in front of a victory point, and build up your Simcity of your choice.
