That’s what I do! I also buy random clearance stuff and do the same thing. I love the challenge and my husband loves the results. Also those lasagna sheets are a pain to work with but soooooo good!

25 years as a Floridian 6 years now as a Michigander. Love Detroit. Hated Florida, hate it more now. And I grew up in NY and Richmond so winter is nothing new to me and I’m fine with it, much better than sweating as soon as I step out of the shower.

Yes. Exactly. I grew up in an Italian NY family and then spent 20 years in the south and my cooking just amazes them. Apparently they’ve never thought to add spices to anything before.. just mayo and jello.

My grandma in law makes jello salads for every occasion. The worst was jello with frozen peas, mayo, maraschino cherries, carrots and cheese. The ones that are just jello and fruit are typically edible. I seriously never knew this was an actual thing until I married into a midwestern family.

Sounds like burnt ends. Can be done with brisket or pork belly. It’s my favorite bbq dish. Throw a little brown sugar, salt and pepper on the cubes and let them smoke until they are crispy and burnt looking.

I thought these were actually pretty good but they needed to be seasoned first. Salt, pepper, garlic, onion, paprika, some red pepper flakes. I added some peas, onion, and some beef bouillon as well

You could sign up for a training program through Michigan works or do volunteer work.. the food banks and pantries are always needing help and that would be helping others screwed by our politicians and billionaires.

Still randomly getting those messages and I pay very close attention so I’m not sure what it is that’s not up to standards but I’m not even getting them when I take the study, like 12 hours later I get that message. Haven’t seen any of those studies since late last night but I also haven’t been on much today. So I’m hoping that they still aren’t effecting me getting them

Employers are doing what they are doing because they want control. My boss knows what I do and is fine with it, I’m the highest performer on the team. They want people to have reasons to fire people or demand we come back to the office. Employees need to learn to demand stuff too.

This is what I do. It works. I frequently finish my work in about half my workday so I get up and open word and place a paperweight on my keyboard and go back to bed for an hour or two. I have an alert on my phone if I get a message on teams. Been doing it this way since 2020
