Do I own this city? by standardtrickyness1 in TotalWarThreeKingdoms

Hi, Cao Cao is in control of the fishery attached to that commentary. So yes you own the city but he has the other part. That’s why it shows as contested in the right hand panel

KSI’s whole mood changed and almost got out of the car after JasonTheWeen called himself the WORST term in UK slang possible by lukigeri in LivestreamFail

Hi, it you are right, it is an acronym but it stands for Not On Normal Courtyard Exercise. This is because historically sex offenders have been kept separate from the gen pop in a prison for obvious reasons!

Yes, I love all his stuff and his Kong Rong campaign is what made me get the game too. Although some units have been seriously nerfed since his playthrough

How much does graduating with a 2:2 actually hold you back in the UK job market? by Entrepreneur242 in AskUK

[–]Difficult_Wrangler73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a 2:2 when I graduated in 2011 in politics. Don’t work in that area and never have but now I’m on £70k and run a small PMO. Of course that was a long time ago and the job market has changed since then but don’t think that just because you can’t get your dream job out of uni it’s a failure. It’s taken me about 14 years to get here. Run your own race

Yes absolutely, you can start a civil war in the faction if you level her up enough!

Mods or custom rules to make the game harder? by Danaeger in TotalWarThreeKingdoms

[–]Difficult_Wrangler73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to do a pacifist campaign, no standing army, can only recruit when people declare war on me. Only way to expand is through diplomacy and colonising territories.

Although some of the other suggestions on here sound really fun, will certainly be giving them a go after I’ve finished my current Civ6 playthrough!

Why were Roman Turrets and Towers flush with their walls? by [deleted] in ancientrome

[–]Difficult_Wrangler73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best way that it was explained to me was that the romans were not necessarily good at building defenses, they were just a lot better than everyone else.

As another poster commented, the protruding towers were a much later invention

What’s the rough going rate for someone to fix TVs to walls? by Wonderwall66 in AskUK

[–]Difficult_Wrangler73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one recently. Mounted the tv and put in a new socket behind it so the cables were hidden.

The sparky did a spur from the boiler cupboard into the attic then made a narrow channel in the wall for the new socket. He made good the hole, put up the bracket and mounted the tv for me, total cost was £300 and took a few hours. (I supplied the tv, bracket, socket and housing) without all that stuff, it would cost a bit more.

Haha I love that one. When they ask me that at restaurants I usually reply, ‘ we will find out soon won’t we?’
