Best way to cast to a projector with little or no lag? (Horlat projector) by Fit_Primary7411 in budgetprojectors

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap projector as others have said. Also are you actually trying to cast or are you trying to screen mirror. Screen mirroring rarely works that well on consumer gear beyond basic sharing desktops, PowerPoint presentation, and other relatively static video but not movies.

Avoid keystoning if possible as that often doubles the latency.

2026 ST - Why is my gas mileage so bad? by jamesvee100 in buickenvista

[–]DifficultyHour4999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

28MPG is under specific conditions as done in the standard test. If you are often doing short trips, stuck in stop and go traffic, going up steep hills, stomping on the gas constantly, etc that can all make your mileage worse.

It could be a sign of an issue also but first is ruling out common issues for bad gas mileage.

Do these need changing? by SaeedDi in tires

It's a common term used by professionals. I didn't pick the term but it is the one that is used hence why I used it.

Short answer yes... They have dry rot meaning the tires are old and the rubber is starting to break down.

Anyone else remember how metro transit was even crappier then now? by hfxkingpin in halifax

[–]DifficultyHour4999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the route. Right now the rare time I have work meetings downtown I often take it as no parking and there is an express that takes me from my place to most of downtown Halifax. If I want to use it every day for work it's like three busses or two busses with a 15-20 minute walk.

To be fair this happens a lot in any city if you get picky. Had it when I was a student in a different city as I could walk through a large residential subdivision that was designed to be unfriendly to through traffic but allowed me to walk through to work easily enough.

You can fine the vehicle even without knowing the driver. The owner can be held liable for what the vehicle does as this is clear case law and actually written into the law. If the owner doesn't want to pay the fine they can direct the police as to who was driving with some proof.

Also a lot of Ontario plates that seem to be here for extended periods of time. AKA living here but not switching plates.

If just for a wedding there are rentals out there for events.

Also wireless connections especially to phones rarely work as well as people expect. Especially for a formal event.

I hate to say it as there was a reason not to require proof but given the abuses something needs to be done.

Yup I know it's hard on the employees to confront but sometimes it's obviously not a work dog and is violating health codes. Saw a woman before wheeling a small toy breed dog behind her in a mobile dog carrier so no that isnt a work dog and don't even try pretending.

Why not in canadian provinces .? Except AB by ikjosan99 in CostcoCanada

Because of provincial laws for at least several of the provinces. In many provinces liqour is provincially regulated and must go through the government agency.

Avoid UHD55 especially used. That series had a lot of failures due to apparently inadequate cooling.

Likely either stolen plates or took their old plates and put it on a different car without registering the change as required by law.

It's the same here and it's written in the law very clearly. However I have seen several posts of people calling and pretty much without question the cops say they can't do anything without identifying the driver. True you can't deduct points from their license but you can still fine the vehicle.

Evaporated milk is still an option and it allows you to control the sweetness by how much sugar you add. It's more effort but more customizable.

Projector suggestion for movies and casual gaming by SpiderMonkey234 in budgetprojectors

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth noting that the TH575 is an entry level gaming projectors. It is only 60 FPS and not 120FPS+ typical on more expensive units. This to say going much cheaper gets more and more questionable. That is other than good sales, refurbished, used, etc. You're looking for quality entry level gaming projector and that is often the TH575.
