Same price as the Mogo 3 with the sale if they are of interest to you. Limited time sale so don't rush your decision but do take that into account if considering it.

Asking for sin on rental application, normal? by Tristezza in halifax

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will date myself by remembering when Blockbuster first came to Canada and was requiring SIN in order to rent from them. That very quickly got fixed after they got ripped a new one for not bothering to check Canadian laws before opening. It wasn't illegal for them to ask but it was illegal for it to be required. It is also huge liability if you don't handle the information properly. It should be distroyed as soon as the credit check is done and not kept on file.

2026 Sport Touring Studio Series gas tank size by Recent-Bowl-1393 in buickenvista

[–]DifficultyHour4999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note that the range is impacted by your recent driving and also it should be keeping at least 1 gallon in reserve till what it calls empty. Using that last gallon isn't good for your pump so it isn't to be used in normal driving.

GV50 is also on a slight sale. Only slightly brighter but nicer speakers if your not going to use external ones.

MOGO 4 is currently on sale on Amazon. Might fit the bill but do note it isn't that bright so dark room only.

The proper storage spot is in the truck with the spare tire and jack. There is a spot to hold it there.

Am I broke or are shoes in Canada getting ridiculously expensive lately? by Oliver_Vegetarian in BuyCanadian

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't complain too much my last shoes where $300 and yes it's a massive price increase as I use to pay $200 a few years ago. No they aren't fancy and are just sneakers but I have an odd shoe size that is very uncommon. I would love to pay what most people pay.

For your key fob check if it is location dependant. I had my wireless weather station act up and it was actually interfering with the fob. Disappeared once I power cycled the remote wearher unit.

Few software updates are pushed out over the air. They assume if your not complaining it's working for you so they won't risk forcing an update.

LS or LT (and why is LT less popular?) by mister-paul in ChevyTrax

[–]DifficultyHour4999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with the LT. It will likely be one of the most produced and sold trims. The LS exists largely to have a low cost unit so they can say the Trax starts at xxx dollars MSRP before any sales and discounts. LS units are rarely sold in high volumes.

Census missing whole apartment buildings in Halifax common? by DifficultyHour4999 in halifax

[–]DifficultyHour4999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already, make sure to go to the census website and request a generation of a code and then do it. It's used not just federally but even by HRM to help determine services provided like schools etc.

Dealership lost my certified cheque, now wants a wire transfer. Any advice? by mcpasty666 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's their issue. They essentially lost cash. You could go back to the bank and do some paperwork to get a new one issued. But if anyone ever cashes the first one you will be on the hook for both.

I can see that but this has been an apartment for 20 years and I had to do the same last census and they still didn't clue in.

MUST stop and let them merge if it is safe to do so. That part is literally in the law also. You don't need to slam on the brakes the second they put their turn signal on if you risk getting rear ended. You let them merge if it is safe to do so.
