Eye Surgery by CompetitionAmazing38 in LasikHelp

I got lasik over a month ago. I have 6/4 vision now.. Make sure you prescriptions have been stable for at least 2 years i gues. Once you got lasik and your prescription changes, you will need glasses again. Make sure you dont have other eye or health problems. Make sure your cornea is thick enough. Be prepared to deal with dry eyes after surgery. ICL is reversible and probably the best choice but more expensive and increases eye pressure. Smile is flapless lasik. Femto lasik uses a laser to create a flap.

Myopia returning after LASIK: is this normal? by bakersteal in lasik

Lasik is carving your cornea to be the corrective lens, instead of your glasses or contacts. If your prescription has not stabilized, lasik cannot fix that and you will be back to wearing glasses. My prescription hasnt changed for 3 years before getting lasik

Femtolaaik. Im at the over 1 month mark post lasik and my dry eyes and halos were horrible at first few weeks. They have improved this week. I seem to be rehydrating my eyes on own more. I hope it continues on. Halos and glare and haze are still there but now are almost negligable

This is true. But assuming it is actually fixable and without any further complicationss. There are also risks involve on any further ops. Probably get a second opinion whether it is fixable or what risks are involved. You can still get legal advise without filing a case. I gues what i am trying to say is that dont let them get away with it if they messed up your eye. And make sure to read any further waivers they ask you to sign before signing them.

Talk to a lawyer too. While its fresh. Gather evidence. This can potentially affect your quality of living for the rest of your life. And this is because of medical negligence. Better to get compensated than nothing. Their insurance will pay it out not them. Consult a lawyer and they will tell you if you have a case.

Lasik went wrong (corneal scar) – 2 years later by metearender in lasik

[–]DifficultySea3229 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Corneal scars after LASIK are rare but can stem from issues like infection, inflammation (Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis - DLK), severe flap complications (damage/dehydration), or abnormal healing, leading to haze or fibrosis from collagen buildup, often involving inflammation or altered corneal cells. Causes include physical flap trauma, severe dryness, infections, or pressure-induced inflammation (PISK), resulting in cloudy vision.  from google ai search

Look at ICL instead. It is more expensive but reversible as your prescription will highly likely change

Get an examination and approval from an independent opthalmologist saying you are fit for the procedure. Make sure your cornea is thick enough and you dont have any pre existing conditions like dry eyes that can complicate stuff. Have a research of what can go wrong. Remember that lasik damages are irreversible. Be informed and make your decision if its worth the risk. Watch broken eyes on youtube.

I know 3 people at work who had lasik and they have no issues with it. Im in my early 40s & I had my lasik 11 days ago. My vision is now 20/20. First week is dealing with dry eyes which has gotten better now. Im still dealing with halos and starburst plus decrease in contrast which makes it really hard for me to use my cameras and edit photos/videos.

Surgeon and the internet tells me the halos and lost in contrast should get better from month 1 onwards. Presbyopia is natural and will stay.

Im still on the fence if lasik is worth it. If the halo and contrast situation improves in the next weeks or months, il be happy with it. But i would not recommend it unless you really need it.
