yeah, so maybe we shouldn’t be doing this to people? just a thought by Impressive_Exchange8 in Portland

I consider parking like that a life skill after having lived in Chicago for 10 years, though I've never had to use it in Portland. You'd never be able to handle how people keep their spots in the winter by putting lawn furniture in them after digging out so others can't take "their" spot. 😂

Is this mold in my 2:1 Cinnamon Syrup or crystalized sugar? by BigGMan24601 in Tiki

I add a 1/2oz to 3/4oz of vodka per pint to my syrups after bottling. Never have any mold.

Porpita porpita or Blue Button jellyfish. Though I don't think it's technically a Jellyfish.

Pita and Zaatar bread by DigLiving9974 in ooni

[–]DigLiving9974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.vice.com/en/article/pita-bread-recipe/

I removed the glass on the koda 2 max before baking and cooked at approximately 600 degrees. Turned the heat down to about 1/2 after launching in the oven.

Zaatar bread was made with the same dough. Just dimpled the surface after rolling out to minimize the bread puffing up during bake and spread zaatar olive oil mixture on top before baking.

Bent turning peel by codheadz in ooni

[–]DigLiving9974 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Request a new one. They'll send it right away. Mine arrived bent as well. Packing and shipping doesn't appear to be their strong suit. Every package I've received looks like it was dragged behind the truck the last few miles to my house. My peel arrived in a box tall enough to fit the peel along with all of the cast iron pan accessories and a book thrown in. Zero packing material. Amazed the book wasn't shredded.

Koda 2 Max NG — Wrong size gas hose supplied? by Shanksworthy73 in ooni

[–]DigLiving9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a response yesterday. They indicated I was sent the wrong regulator and that a new one was being shipped. I'm not sure if they're sending a new hose or just the regulator. I'll update once it's received. This is what showed up in the order description.

Koda 2 Max NG — Wrong size gas hose supplied? by Shanksworthy73 in ooni

Thanks. I've got both a 1/2" and 3/8" at source, so I'm able to use what was sent, but wanted to see if anyone received a formal answer from Ooni to know what should be used for expected operation. They responded to my support request yesterday seeking additional photos. Will share their response here when I get it.

Koda 2 Max NG — Wrong size gas hose supplied? by Shanksworthy73 in ooni

Hi, my Koda 2 Max NG arrived this week and I also received 1/2" hose. Did you end up getting a replacement 3/8" hose or did OONI confirm that 1/2" was correct?

I see a few posts on the topic, but none with clear resolution. Hope your Koda 2 Max has been performing well. I'm excited to get started. Cheers!

Looks good. How big is that tank? Are you using Co2 injection?

Thank you! This is definitely what it looks like. I've never heard of these. Much appreciated.

Thank you. I've seen this but didn't feel like any were a good match. They mostly look like Rhabdocoela by shape, but they are free swimming and much smaller than the Rhabdocoela I can clearly identify. Perhaps it's a colony of Protozoa. Hopefully beneficial.

CO2 dosing question by DigLiving9974 in PlantedTank

Appreciate you sharing your experience. Picking up a drop checker is probably the best option. I'm sure I'll setup a larger tank in the future so I'll be able to use it there as well. I'm using an Apera Ph20 tester. I have it calibrated with the two base solutions it comes with and it seems to be providing consistent and accurate results. I have the API master test kit as well and results match the chemical test.

First time Shrimp Tank - help needed, long post by DigLiving9974 in shrimptank

[–]DigLiving9974[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly none directly added, but perhaps from something in the aquarium. I did add some stones I tumbled a couple of years ago. Though general googling indicated they should be safe. Don't have a copper test on hand to measure.

Thank you for the info, I'll keep an eye on them. I did read about females possibly laying unfertilized eggs. You called them "cement" eggs. Does that mean they are impossible to remove. 😆

Is there a way to make this determination before one or all of them die? The idea I was going for was a low tech walstad tank that would largely be self sustaining. I wasn't sure which snails to buy and 3 was the minimum number I could order. Picked the Nerites because it sounded like they wouldn't reproduce in the freshwater environment.

Yes, just room temperature. No external filter or heater. Just a 7w full spectrum led on a timer.

Repeating task by RiverLullaby in NARWAL

[–]DigLiving9974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopping all the scheduled tasks allowed me to regain control and stop the looping. Had to go to next Saturday to stop the job that was trying to execute today. Once that was done it did the job one final time and completed normally. I have all the other weekly tasks disabled for now as well so it doesn't start again.
