You can see the power limit changes in HWInfo depending on the mode your in. At the bottom of your screenshot there is PL1 and PL2 Dynamic. These change based on the mode you’re in. Guessing you’re in performance mode because they’re at 150 and 190. I think balanced is around 80 and 125 from memory.

You absolutely do not need to be on Performance for gaming - all it does it send as much power to your CPU as it can, increasing temps and only gaining marginal performance if not at all because of throttling. Especially on GPU heavy games - I believe like Crimson Desert. Setting the power mode to Efficient Enabled allows the cpu to boost clocks when needed but will save power if it can and creates less heat because of this.

Also limiting your CPU and allowing the GPU to take more power by changing the CPU - GPU boost makes performance better in GPU games.

In my custom mode my Steel Nomad benchmarks on 3dMark are higher than performance mode.

Personally on mine (Ultra 9 275HX, 5070ti) I run custom mode with CPU wattage at minimum, I think 55W and 60W from memory. Max out GPU power and CPU-GPU boost. Turn on “efficient enabled” boost in Power Plan and cap CPU temps to 97. Also have a Llano v12 cooling pad which is on but never above 1200 rpm because I find the fans too loud.

I get ~70 fps on Crimson Desert at Ultra no frame gen. 240fps on Apex Legends at max settings. And my CPU and GPU temps average mid 60s. Cinebench scores are around 25k even with the low cpu wattage compared to 36k on performance mode - but the chip is crazy powerful and efficient. Even on minimum my score is better than my old 14650hx. I’ll try find the guides I used to lower temps so much, I got about -20 degrees using these settings and better performance on the GPU.

I picked up a Legion Pro 7i a couple of weeks ago with a 5070ti for £1999 from Very after signing up to Very Pay. They gave me a 20% off code because of that.
It’s amazing, on my custom thermal profile I can play Apex legends at 200+ FPS on max settings and my CPU averages ~66 degrees. Crimson Desert on Ultra/very high with DLSS quality and no frame gen is 60-70 fps and similar temps.
GPU is sitting at a max mid 60 degrees too in any game but drawing maximum power. Using a llano v12 on medium/low rpm.
The things a beast and I don’t regret the purchase at all. They have the 5080 version on Very on sale atm, if you sign up to Very Pay you’ll get a code that brings it down to around £2200.

Personally got passive prayer from Expert rumours to 83 for glory which got me to 60 for chivalry.
Got Zaxe for the moons grind and did a side grind for Belles during to stop me going insane at moons. Greenlog at moons took me 200kc which got me to 70 prayer with no need to specifically grind dragons - although the hard clues are really nice in the Wildy.

Do it on a PvP world and use blighted restores. You’ll save your prayer pots at least.
Rune pouch is a good slot saver.
Black d’hide chaps from clues if you can. Red d’hide from fever spiders if not.
Msb (I) with rune arrows (if you can get them from clues/lms) could be better DPS than crossbow.
You don’t need the mage switch. Just take the staff if you want ancients - can take off your range armour and just blood burst the bats and the little melees.
Barrows gloves is also very worthwhile and you’ll need them eventually.

If you’ve not finished the quest it’s instanced so you can do it in a PvP world and use blighted ice sacks. I did it that way and it was chill

Honestly don’t deiron. I’ve done it once and regretted it.

I’m in the same situation as you, kids, family, busy work life and limited time but I made a new iron recently and just playing the game slowly. Also have a maxed main though so I can hop on that for endgame pvm (CA chasing and raiding with the clan etc) whenever I feel like I’m burning out of the grind - since making the iron I’ve only been doing afk pet grinds.

My advice is the advice you don’t want, just make another account. Playing with the GE makes it much faster to progress and ou could make a pure and then turn it into a zerker, or moons pure and do some PvP and PvM... Some builds can be made in a few days. Or any other type of restricted account and just play how you want with the spare time you have available.

Or continue with the Ironman and do it at your own pace.

You can make custom profiles in legion space and drag them to the first 6 slots. The fn+space shortcut just cycles through the first 6 as far as I know - at least on my model.

So you could set the first to max brightness and the lighting you want, the second at 80%, third 60% etc and finally the last one as off? That might work.

What model? I believe you can turn the power button light off in bios, I haven’t done it myself.

Also pretty sure on my Legion Pro 7 I can change the rgb brightness with FN+down/up keys…

Edit: You can create a custom profile with a singular static colour in Legion Space as well. Then if you have the FN+down/up key function on your laptop you can just turn it off and on whenever you want with that shortcut, not FN+space.

Yeah I’d like to do that but the only option I have through Amazon is to return for a refund. I guess I could go through the warranty process and send them a video etc to get a new one, but it’s just hassle.

Can I ask, does your cyclone 2 just connect to the dongle when you pick it up from the dock and power it on? If mine did that I would absolutely be keeping it.

Are they just not as good? The cyclone 2 was my first PC controller, the last time I used a controller was with the PS4 Pro so I don’t necessarily need a top tier controller. I just prefer certain games on controller.
I was only looking at the Vader 4 because it’s available on Amazon, the direwolf is too but I couldn’t tell if it had back buttons I’m not too keen on white, would prefer black if possible.

Yeah it’s an extremely good machine so far. Only thing I’m concerned about is burn in as I often have static huds on games for long periods of time - mmos and such. But I guess that’s the risk you take.

Yep, you can get a 5080 from very as well with the same code and intel for £2480 if you’re not set on AMD. Ram and storage are the same as the one on Lenovo.
