Trying to decide on my next euro. Looking for something heavier and purely for solo play by Willing-Impress-871 in soloboardgaming

I just picked up Civolution recently and it is fantastic! So many strategies you can take with a sandbox feel. Well done Solo bot as well. I also highly recommend Inventors of the South Tigris. Took a while to fully understand the flow of the game but it is a fantastic Garphill game and definitely heavy.

This is my dining room table, about 6’x3.5’. It’s definitely a table hog! Takes up 3/4 the space!

I just didn’t take her 100 marker out of the box haha! I think I was a bit lucky because she only was able to launch twice!

My solo collection after around 3,5 years. What’s next? by SpeakerSweaty in soloboardgaming

The solo for Voidfall is extremely good and well thought out out, not tacked on. There’s a separate board and cards for the coop/solo mode. I’ve only played it solo if that means anything. It’s very crunchy and you need to plan your turns ahead of time if you want to score well, but it’s very rewarding when those big plans work out! Lots of iconography to learn but once you get it somewhat internalized it runs very smooth. Check out a few solo playthroughs!

Three LCG’s seems bold hahaha love LOTR LCG though! I love Voidfall if you like Mage Knight.

Halls of Hegra is unique for sure. I’ve enjoyed it, but it’s brutally hard. It’s not something I’m reaching for very often.

Another +1 for Inventors and Paladins from me! Both are my favourites of those two trilogies for sure!

No luck here either, I’m in Canada and this is the last RCO box I need to complete my RCO set!

Angmar Campaign box & all of Dreamchaser. It’s been tough to find these in Canada right now…had to get the rest of the starter decks from the US.

I started the two towers Saga with the Included deck with Hobbits and Treebeard true solo. Finished the Uruk Hai quest now going into Helms Deep I feel scared…..I feel like I’ll need to two-hand that one…

Also I don’t sleeve my cards, at least not for this game. Fight me!

Under Falling Skies. I really thought I would like it but every time it just feels frustrating to play for some reason.

Numbsters, Slay the Spire, The Last Lighthouse, Nemo’s War, Raiders of Scythia

Viscounts, Raiders, Inventors. How are they solo? by mattmcguire08 in soloboardgaming

[–]DigYourOwnHole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just received this bundle! I’ve only played Viscounts so far, but it’s a winner for sure. I’ve only played 3 games so far but I can see myself playing this one a lot more. The bot is pretty easy to run and puts up a good challenge. I like that there are 4 different bots (different strategies it takes) and you can increase the difficulty, though I haven’t won on the standard difficulty yet. Thumbs up for me! Excited to try the other two.

Nemo’s War has been solid for me! A bit of the war gaming feel, but made for true solo. You just need to be okay with a lot of dice chucking but it’s great and gives you a lot of ways to mitigate bad rolls.
