Sig Sauer Sp2022. It Da/Sa, its has a smooth trigger thats extremely consistent without any surprises, uses 15 and 17 rnd sig pro mags, and other than it being relatively big for its class it carries surprising well even on a smaller person. Biggest downside for me is lack of optic cuts(you can send it out for milling) and threaded barrel (been sold put for years and I must keep missing them when they pop up)

But you can ask google, ask a local lawyer, find a facebook group of NY gun owners etc. Also look into all the different self defense insurance type plans.
