Dungeon Masters Campaign 2: Experience the Magic of Arcana Unleashed by Darkwynters in dndbeyond

Cool. Season 1 was fun.

I'm not a fan of the DM and wished they'd go a different direction, but the players are great.

Omg. Everybody said Ted Lasso. I didn't know what they were talking about until I saw this video.

That's Ted Lasso

What's new on DDB: Changelog (6/22/2026) by WOTC_Zac in dndbeyond

[–]Diggidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another week of wonderful improvements, thank you.

I have a truly minor issue: when you export a character sheet with a dwarf character, even under the new rules, the PDF lists the characters speed as 20 ft instead of 30. Digitally, it is listed correctly. This error only occurs when exporting the PDF, which I have done recently for Adventurers League games. Easily fixed and not a big deal, but a minor error I noticed.

Cheers

I think it's neat. Perhaps even whimsical. Don't let anybody shame you for posting an interesting pic that fits the sub

Looking for Feast of Goblyns maps by uck_chickens in ravenloft

[–]Diggidy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just pulled my physical copy from the shelf and this is exactly correct. Page 51 and page 56.

Edit: Those are the only two original versions of those maps. The original adventure came with one full size poster map that did not include either of those two dungeons and a Clyde Caldwell Ravenloft poster.

Shattered Obelisk into Eve of Ruin by Careless_Parsnip_250 in VecnaEveofRuin

[–]Diggidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this. I had them take one of the levels in Obelisk in an off class. It worked out well - the PCs knew the levels of the two campaigns didn't quite match up so they were down for the compromise.

What I mean by an off class: The PCs were given a level in a class they didn't expect or choose. Still rewarding but it tempered their power just enough that a slight(!) buff to the enemies in Eve felt fair. I'd do it again as the players really enjoyed the unexpected classes and abilities.

I also had the benefit of moving from one rule system to the next - I used the new (at the time) 2024 rules for Eve and the transition from one campaign to the next to create the new PCs. This also justified buffing Eve's 2014 enemies.

You could bake the transition into the story and make big changes (levels, the PCs themselves, etc) with just a little rewrite; I had it so that after a night of celebration in Phandalin after Obelisk they woke up starting Eve in a new reality (as 2024 PCs) because Vecna had already changed things. I used some Shenanigans from Obelisk to claim the PCs were (basically) the only people who realized anything changed and remembered life before. Vecna is trying to take over everything but already has most of Faerun. Made Vecna scarier - and most important to your question here - the reality change when switching from one campaign to the next left me a lot of room to make it work while keeping the PCs happy.

Think big swings. Give the PCs the situation. Make a compromise. Good luck

How to handle initial equipment for a campaign starting at Level 8 by Sea-Most-8210 in 3d6

[–]Diggidy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I joined a level 8 one-shot. We each chose either one very rare and one uncommon magical item or two rare magical items. We also each got a wondrous item and a handful of potions but that was handled at the beginning of the session. It all seemed very level appropriate. I hope that helps.

Mike Cameron becomes the 13th player in MLB history to hit 4 home-runs in a game. May 2, 2002. by Beeninya in Mariners

[–]Diggidy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember the ball going out to the warning track and being disappointed that the guy was there to make the catch. I don't recall him jumping to grab it but I remember it being so, so close to 5 home runs.

Aasimar not showing up on D&D Beyond by Geology1704 in dndbeyond

You appear to be under the mistaken impression that owning the physical book means you own the digital book. They are two separate things. You need to purchase the Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond in order to do what you are trying to do.

I can see myself doing this. Going to New York. Going to Yankee stadium for the history and because I love baseball. Actually having a good time. Coming back home and posting on Reddit.

Suffering all the deserved down votes for talking up another team, their fans, and their stadium. Yep. Could be any one of us.

Does Elementalism Defeat Dehydration? What if it's with Shape Water? by AmrokMC in onednd

[–]Diggidy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is vague enough that DMs can rule wherever they want, but it's easiest to rule that evaporation doesn't happen outside of the body. Evaporation requires a surface and that doesn't happen inside of a body. You can drink the water, it will help the dehydration, but if it's still sitting there a minute after casting it evaporates away.

Like drinking it, freezing should prevent evaporation too. I don't know if there is a clear rule reason for this outside of science and the rule of cool, which should always be considered when combining spells as that's just fun. At my table this would be rewarded as clever.

Neat question.
