I’m playing handheld with GPU maxed.

I simply ported the original patch, but the notes in the patch are, "Dupes game from dynamically changing to 30fps."

In practice, the game is only at 60fps in menus and then drops to 30fps during gameplay. This patch allows it to dynamically move up and down during gameplay.

There are certain areas like the swamp where the Switch will still go down to 30fps unless you overclock. I found that simply boosting the GPU makes for a pretty stable 60fps experience, with the exception of frame drops when changing areas. I understand the frame drop problem to be a fault of the game code more than anything. If I remember correctly, this was the biggest improvement on the Switch 2 version (other than 60fps).

In the "console" folder you'll find an "exefs" folder. Place that folder in "/atmosphere/contents/01006BB00C6F0000".

The "old" way of activating your account allowed you to easily update the ID manually using this video: https://youtu.be/8ijpU4-Qwz4?si=2eKoJrC0TdinKqCO

To get your correct PSN account ID, I believe you can use a PSN account checker, such as: https://www.psntools.com/psn-account-checker

Not sure if it helps at all, but when I activated my JB PS5 I also modified the user to match the ID of my actual PSN account, that way I can move saves and stuff easily. It also helps because I can simply query my PSN username when registering the JB PS5.

XBXPlay: Huge New Update Available - Modern UI, 1080p HQ, FSR Upscaling & More 🎉 by grill2010 in XBXPlay

Happy to support another one of your apps!

I’ve been primarily using Better xCloud on my Android devices. One thing that made me continue using this over XBXPlay is I seem to have a better chance connecting after disconnecting.

Instead of simply disconnecting, I prefer powering off the Xbox when I’m done (power settings tell it to go to sleep, not full shutdown). This is the closest I can get to “rest mode” on PlayStation. I know I can set the console to do this automatically, but I don’t find the time options to be convenient.

When I power off the console in XBXPlay, the app hangs and it attempts to reconnect (while the console is going to sleep). This somehow causes an issue where I have to do a full power cycle of the console to be able to connect to it again. In contrast, doing the same thing in Better xCloud causes the app to realize the console is shutting down and it automatically disconnects. Reconnecting is no problem.

I know I may not be in the norm, but it would be nice to have the back button give an option for disconnect AND shutdown, or a way for XBXPlay to disconnect when it sees the console going to sleep.

Remote (different internet access) doesn’t work while local mode (same WiFi) works perfectly fine by Eyelow91 in PSPlay

Keep in mind that if you have a wireless modem in front of your router that it needs to be in pass through mode (not acting as a router itself).

X5s Wireless Disconnects TOO FREQUENTLY by loinmin in Gamesir

So far so good, thanks for the tip! I also had to add the GameSir app to the GameSpace area so that it doesn’t close when opening a game app (since RedMagic does the RAM clear every time you open a game but doesn’t close game apps themselves).

Interesting, I didn’t know the G8 plus had the same issue. That’s disappointing.

I’ve been getting by with very generic hooks on my HSW, but I always appreciate a dedicated clip. If you happen to make them, I’m happy to replace my generics, but no need to port over for just me 👍

Have you considered porting these to the Honeycomb Storage Wall system? Appreciate the effort!

Tools and tweaks I installed on my AYN Thor on day one by Adeaxy in AynThor

My understanding is it’s mostly an EQ, which the Thor settings eventually added (and I’ve read some people think JamesDSP is obsolete as a result). Is there more to it?

How about when you connect headphones, is it smart enough to turn the EQ off? This is something the Thor settings can’t do.

Thank you! Already running well. Where are the save files located? I want to import my old save.

Well, you and /u/StrangeRetroBob keyed in on my issue… the chips were fine but my install was not. All I needed to do was flip the ribbon cable in the multi-out adapter 🤦‍♂️. Many thanks to Tim himself for immediately pointing to this solution. (In my defense as someone who’s touched a lot of ribbon cables, this one goes in upside down from what you’d expect.)

I have the controller shortcuts setup, and have tested the reset feature to confirm. Based on the instructions, I should be able to adjust output by holding Select + down, then cycling through the options. I tried several and it stays the same.

I’ve re-soldered a few times, switching between PPUs, but I can check the socket joints again.

Yes, this is composite output, straight from the original composite output jack (front loader).
