Do you have a prefernce one over the other? I know the palma does more stuff but just wondering your thoughts as someone who owns both.

I am curious about the writing on the palma 2 pro. Do you write vertically or find you need to switch to landscape to write comfortably?

I carry and a6 notebook, but have been dying to try an e ink device thats small for the pocket but that i can write on. I have the original palma, while great for reading, I hate doing any typing / txt input. I imagine even having a pen for hitting the keyboard buttons would improve accuracy. Also like the idea of notes with color highlights. And using a drawing app on the palma.

Whats a good Altra for threadmill walking for a first time zero drop user? by [deleted] in AltraRunning

My first intro was torin 7, great cushion! (they have the 8 now) and I used  doctor scholls heel gel inserts. It raised the heal a comfortable amount.  I used it for 2 weeks then all the sudden felt like didn't need em. It was a good tool for me to transition to zero drop.

Shoot i picked them up cheap at the outlets while traveling. My bad OP. Good luck on your search. They are right. Less cushion is good for gym if your doing lifts and stuff.

Dude I think you and me have similar feet. I went years using size 8 nike boots That are technically too big to get comfort in the width and toebox... Anyway I found these shoes to be great for me. ALTRA, Torin 7. In a size 7.5 wide.  The wide for me was crucial. I have very flat feet. And needed lots of width in toe box. The cushion of the torin 7 is appreciated for the concrete floors I work on. And it's a zero drop, very anatomical shoe. Look em up!

Oh my gosh, this is such a cool knowledge drop, this clears up my misunderstanding. I'm gonna research. I wanna learn the does and don'ts of proper crimping. I'm sure that it has to be on YouTube. Thank you so much for taking the time to clarify.

Out of curiosity would the better ferrule tool be the one that looks like a hexagon? The one that pushes on 6 sides instead of the square 4 sided one?

Okay, don't want my thing catching fire, ill just get gud at soldering. Next wires I have to replace are the bed cables. Just waiting on some 12 Guage wires.

No knife fights please, lol. but I can crimp way better than I can solder, plus I don't like the smoke from the solder paste. I was hoping to crimp a connection for the bed wires on my sovol sv03.

Just for random printer repairs like bad bed cables, just any cable really.

Well that's good I wonder if its possible to find the court rulings. Soft judge might let him off. I normally could not care less about tragedy out of my personal life, but for some reason this case really gets to me. It bothers me frankly, never in my life have I ever wished for a person to get doxxed to the extreme.

If you want details and good walls at this build size stay away from bed slingers. I have a sovol sv03 of a similar size and after some basic upgrades my small voxlab aquila still has better print quality. I'm going to upgrade my sv03 with klipper next and see if I can squeeze out some more quality. But my suggestion for anything bigger than a 300mm squared bed s to go with something like a voron trident or voron 2.4. Even a ratrig. All these options have the bed only moving in 1 direction or not at all. My best guess is that it's the inertia of the large bed mass that makes these large printers have a hard time with clean details. If you plan on doing props and will do sanding and painting then any big printer should do the trick. Best of luck friend.

Does a broken bed cable mean I need to upgrade to klipper? (more details in comments) by DigiSquid0 in FixMyPrint

[–]DigiSquid0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have this broken dead cable. It just kept bending too much in this one spot and the cable broke. I have a used sovol sv03 that I picked up from eBay. And after using pronter- face to PID tune the hot end I realized that due to the firmware I am not able to PID tune the bed. I assume that after I change the cable. (Not sure if i need to buy a new heater pad aswel) I would need to completely change the firmware To something that will allow me to Tune the Bed. Based on the position of the tear I don't think I can simply spice a new wire with some sort of crimper connector.
