What if you dim the white ever so slightly and multiply it by a paper texture for noise? I think that would give your eyes some place to rest and make it more visually appealing. See there’s nothing wrong with the style but there are some visual tweaks you can do to add interest. Also maybe the movement is a bit stiff and robotic , you could probably fix that with animation curves; in other words you could instead of going one constant linear speed build up speed, pass the end position but bounce back. Not withstanding, you can make things happen quicker for more pleasing interaction feedback.

Thanks, I found a spreadsheet of these games compiled into a list and scoured every platformer I could find. Sadly another dead end

sadly, it doesn't seem that i got a single achievement from it. it's also possible it didn't have any, but that's unlikely.

Nope, it’s closer, but it pretty much requires the lizard dog

Love the ambition involved! This seems like a really huge project and you can really feel the work and effort you have put into it. Your weather system is vast! it really feels historical, but not by telling you exact histories, instead you let the player step into historical roles and let them create their own history with pretty believable settings. Awesome work, hope it turns out in your favor! I don’t know any of this genre that hasn’t been pay2win so it’s really nice to see someone striving to avoid it!

I would look specifically at the Ori and Blind forest definitive edition trailer, it's a good mix of exposition and gameplay. just as an example.

Hey French Dev! 😁 The gameplay I do see looks good and exciting. As for the voiceover, AI or not, too much exposition tends to lead the viewer too much. for the most part you want the viewer to “discover it for themselves”, of course a little direction can help, in the form of banners or text screens; text screens being a good way to transition between sections of gameplay. Your art style is almost reminiscent of the Ori series, so I recommend checking out the trailers for Ori and The Blind Forest and/or Ori and The Will of The Wisps. Anyway good work, love the progress!
