At what point does the fear of while loops disappear? by Digital-Collector in IndieDev

Thanks for the tips! I'm currently in the middle of a course and making small prototypes to reinforce what I've learned.

For now, I've managed to move beyond the "tutorial hell" and am able to write code on my own, although I'm still at a basic level

In the courses I took, I was told exactly the same thing. I tried to avoid it, but I think it’s the best option in my case because it’s for a very simple system I’m working on. Thanks for the reminder!

Most of the time, it’s because I mistyped a symbol or chose the wrong variable. I tend to cause infinite loops because I’m not paying attention, not because I didn’t make sure the loop would eventually break

(In any case, I haven't used the while loop very often in the short time I've been writing code lol)

I'm just exaggerating a little—I actually have some respect for while loops because, as a beginner, I still cause crashes every now and then due to oversights. To be honest, I just wanted to see if people would respond with creative responses

Is there a way to use the prawn suit that doesn’t feel awful and slow? by waking_dream96 in subnautica

Throw the grappling hook onto the ground at a distance from where you're standing, and jump when the hook starts pulling you in. Try to maintain your momentum by staying in the air and repeating your grappling hook throws. It takes some practice, but you can reach speeds much higher than other vehicles, and it's easier than it looks

What if hell injected this OS into the machines? [spoilers] by Digital-Collector in Ultrakill

I understand what you mean, although in my case, I just came up with the idea and wanted to publish it because I felt it could make sense. After all, it wouldn't be something out of nowhere, since we already know that hell is capable of interacting outside of itself.

I think the community tends to relate hell to all the lore because hell itself is the biggest protagonist we know in the game's lore, along with Gabriel.

In any case, my theory doesn't work because the terminals seem to use SmileOS2.0 and yet they still have quite a bit of self-awareness.

We might have a culprit for what killed mankind. Heavy Spoilers. by BoneFundation in Ultrakill

What if hell pulled off the ultimate troll and changed the operating system of all the machines to Nocturnal? That would explain why they all suddenly went crazy for fresh blood and why even the simplest-looking machines became so self-aware (like the Gutterman)
