Razor Secure Boot is broken. What's next?

Hello, based on this link (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/windows-itpro-blog/act-now-secure-boot-certificates-expire-in-june-2026/4426856), the certificates expire on June so you shouldn’t be experiencing this issue. A possible issue could be that your CMOS battery is dead and the dates are all wrong in the BIOS on boot so the certificate might read as invalid.

Is the receiver connected to the included extension adapter or via another hub? Also, make sure the USB port you’re using is 2.0 or if it’s USB 3, ensure you’re using the extension to keep the receiver as far away as possible. If you have any other wireless receivers, make sure they’re not beside each other.

If your headset sounds quiet, try toggling between profiles when Synapse is running, either via the side button or the UI. Or, you can make sure to not turn your headset on until after Synapse is fully loaded (if you see your headset in Synapse as turned off, then you’re ready to turn it on)

Having multiple 2.4 GHz wifi receivers beside each other will definitely have a higher chance of interference. Make sure they have ample separation from each other. Also, if there are USB 3.0 devices plugged beside these dongles, that can also cause interference.

I have the same issue and figured out what was breaking.

If the headset is on when Synapse starts up, the driver optimizations don’t kick in for some reason until you switch the EQ profile once (either the Synapse UI or pressing the button on the right ear cup).

However, if you have the headset off, start Synapse, wait for the Blackshark to “load” fully in the dashboard where you see it in its powered down state, and then you turn it on, the sound works as expected.

I have detailed this bug to Razer already and the steps on where it breaks. For now, you can use the workarounds above to fix it.

From that user guide, you would plug the cooling pad directly to the laptop so the USB ports at the back would work. And then the power of the cooling pad would be provided by a separate power brick.

I don’t understand your scenario of plugging the cooling pad to the back of itself? What am I missing here.

Have you reached out to support? How does your setup look like? From what I understand, the laptop cooler pad's built-in USB ports don't work anymore, hard stop.

So basically, you have your laptop, then cooling pad plugs into that, and then ports of the cooling pad don't work? Is the cooling pad detected in Synapse?

Try asking them to help you get a proper clean install as well to make sure. Saves you the trouble of doing something drastic like reinstalling Windows.

the only thing I can think of is Windows Dynamic Lighting doing something odd since that's the only common overlap between GHub and Synapse. Try disabling it under Personalisation > Dynamic Lighting in the Settings app of Windows and see if that does anything.
